With Sympathy

http://www.ssinkspiration.blogspot.com/2014/03/our-deepest-sympathy.html

Good morning and thanks for joining me here with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  Today we are sharing "sympathy" cards.  I know for me that this kind of card is at the bottom of my list of favorite cards to create, but well, sometimes we just need to do it.  For me, when thinking of a sympathy card to create, I still want it to be cheerful.  I mean, isn't that what we are trying to do, is cheer a person up when they are feeling sad and down a bit?  When I think of cheerful, I think of flowers and the color blue.  Even thought I don't enjoy digging around in the dirt with flowers, I do enjoy and looking at flowers and well, blue is my favorite color and it cheers me up when I look at something blue.

Today's card is just that.  Created using the wildflower meadow stamp and matching embossing folder all in shades of blue.  I also used the hardwood stamp and woodgrain folder to add some texture to my background layer of marina mist.  One of my favorite elements of this card, is the small use of ribbon.  I think ribbon adds just the right touch to any card or project.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ midnight muse, whisper white and marina mist
