Flowers Bouquet for CQC239 & FMS134

Good morning and thanks for stopping by to visit my blog.  Today I am playing along with two challenges.  The first is for the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and the second is the color challenge over at Colour Q.

Its funny how when you see a set of colors or a sketch you sometimes know exactly what you want to create, but on the other hand, its weird how someone else can also be thinking similar thoughts.  When I saw the sketch at freshly made sketches, I knew I wanted to arrange my flowers in a circular pattern to follow the sketch shape, but before I start a project card, I always go in and look at what has already been done and submitted to make sure my thought has not already been submitted.  Well that's sort of what happened with this card.  Design team member, Cindy Hall had created her card with flowers arranged for her circle too!  Great minds think a like right!?!  I went to work with my same idea and made sure to make my different as to not make it look like my was copied off of hers.

So my card base is pumpkin pie and my dsp layer is from the quatrefancy specialty pack.  I layered with a cut strip of burlap ribbon and wrapped with some gold bakers twine.  My flowers are punched out in old olive, pink pirouette, calypso coral and pumpkin pie.  The center of each flower is champagne glitter paper using the itty bitty punch pack.

Every flower bouquet has to have some ribbon and a bow so I used the natural chevron ribbon for that.

For the inside (cause I never forget the inside), I punched one of each color flower and layered again the white with the same DSP as on the front.
