Good Sunday morning! I hope everyones weekends have been super nice so far. We still have today left, so lets enjoy it to its fullest! Today I am over at Can You Case It? with our new Color Challenge. I hope you will decide to play along with us.
Here is the color palette to play with.....
and here is what I created with our fun colors.
Now this card is special and here is why. My nephews girl-friend is going thru her basic training for the Navy. She is having a bit of a rough time right now. On top of getting really sick with a high fever and massing out almost as soon as she got there, she has a small case of being home sick. She is tough cookie and I know she will pull through just fine but everyone needs a little extra cheering up and encouraged to be strong and believe in themselves. I made this special card for her and it went out last week.
I wanted to stick with a Fall theme as the colors reminded me of Fall and loved the deep rich tones. I stamped with the hardwood background and seperated them into layers using very vanilla cardstock and sahara sand ink. I cut out two leaves in blackberry bliss and mossy meadow and punched out some med. sized ovals, embossed each one to create my antique and vintage pumpkin. I love the added the swirled ribbon and lace at the bottom, finished out with a few candy dots.
Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ blackberry bliss, mossy meadow, very vanilla
Ink ~ blackberry bliss, sahara sand, mossy meadow
Stamp set ~ good greetings, hardwood background stamp
Misc. ~ blackberry bliss in color satin ribbon, lace trim ribbon, neutral and regal candy dots, woodgrain embossing folder, med. oval punch, autumn accents big shot die
I hope you have enjoyed my project card for our color challenge. Leave some "love" and don't forget to go see what the other design team members have created!
