Good Friday morning! Today I am over at The Friday Mashup and Amy has a fun challenge for us. With Mother's Day this weekend, I wish all you Mom's a Happy Mother's Day and hope you have a wonderful crafty weekend!
This week's Mashup! Challenge:
- Create a project using a "Recycled or Upcycled Item".
- Create a project for "Mother's Day".
- or Mash it Up! and create a project for Mother's Day using a Recycled/Upcycled Item".
So my sunshine started out in my head being a recycled cupcake paper holder, but well I didn't have a white or yellow one. I had a Halloween one but after I colored it yellow, you could still see the pumpkins thru it!!! So there went that idea out the window LOL!! So I just cut out a daffodil delight starburst shape and stamped it with the sunray from the kinda eclectic stamp set. I added some google eyes and drew on a smiley face. This is just a fun kid friendly Mother's Day card to enjoy!
Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ pacific point, whisper white, daffodil delight, calypso coral
Ink ~ crushed curry, pacific point marker
Stamp set ~ kinda eclectic
Misc. ~ daffodil delight seam binding ribbon, banner punch, little letters die set, google eyes, starburst framelit set, large dots embossing folder, (kids handwriting FREE!!)
I like your cupcake paper idea... even if it didn't work out. :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I love that sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia, I love your card. At first glance I thought it was an umbrella from a drink (without the handle) but with a closer look, I see what you've done. Looks great! The FREE kids handwriting really puts the card over the top into WOW!
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable! The smiling sun is just cute...what mom wouldn't love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy sun you created, I love it!
