Blendabilities Peaceful Petals with PP196 & MOJO346

Good morning thanks for stopping by!  Today's card is for the fun sketch over at Mojo Monday and the theme of "simple flowers" is with The Paper Players.  I am also super de duper excited to share today's card with you because for the first time yesterday, I sat down and played with Stampin' Up!'s New Blendabilities markers.  These markers are not just your ordinary old markers, no, these puppies are our very own alcohol based markers.  Perfect for coloring and blending together darker and lighter shades.  These things are just AWE-SOME!!!  Ok, well, my first attempt I thought was a total flop, but now the second attempt turned out much better.  Something I am proud of and wanting to share with you.

So I started with a card base of crumb cake and chose the same color as my layer.  I love the tone on tone affect.  My border as well as the marker color is rich razzleberry.  I started with stamping in white the leaf stamp from the "peaceful petals" set for my background.  The large flower from this same set is the focal point that I colored.  The one extra special, added thing that I love about these new blendabilities, is that not only can you color gorgeous flowers, but you can also color rhinestones and pearls!  These were just your plain crystal colored rhinestones until I put the marker to the test.  Don't you love how they turned out?

For my two banners, I went with champagne glitter paper.  I think it added just the right touch to make this card look fabulous!
