Thinking of You - Touch of Ink

Good afternoon stampin peeps!  Hope everyone is doing well as we are in the tail end of the week and the wonderful weekend is fast approaching us!  I had a co-worker reach out to me to create a card for a fellow co-worker that had a small surgery and wanted to cheer her up and send her well wishes.

I created this card to measure 4-1/4" x 9" to allow for more room inside for well wishes and signatures for others.  I will have to admit, I like this size of card for a nice change.

I pulled out and used for the first time (I know, I am so bad, lol!) the stamp set called Touch of Ink.  It was a special free stamp set that could be earned with a $50 purchase the other year.  I just love the pretty humminging bird.  It colors so well with my alcohol blendabilities.

Hope you enjoyed my card creation for today, don't forget to share some love!

Stampin' Up Supplies Used:
Stamp set:  Touch of Ink
Paper: whisper white and sift succulent
Ink:  momento black ink
Blenders:  soft succulent, smokey slate, petal pink, daffodil delight
Misc:  basic gemstones, white twine

Good afternoon my stampin peeps!  Today I wanted to share you everyone a "tent" card that I made last night.  Tomorrow is my Supervisors birthday and he loves the pretty blue waters and to excape to the Islands when time allows, so I thought I would create for him a card that he could leave sit in his office that he could look at each day and remind him of where he really wants to be...(but don't we all?)

This is a super easy card to create with just a few cuts and scoring and its ready to decorate.

Tent Card Directions:

- Die cut the shape you'd like as your window
- Cut desired layering panels as you wish and stamp away.
- Adhere panels in place and adhere card using strong adhesive.

A Peachy Birthday!

Hello my stampin' peeps!  Trying to get back into the swing of things while being out all last week on vacation.  Its fun to go away but its also fun to return to home where its normal. I need a vacation from vacation if that makes since, LOL!

Today I want to share a fun fold card I made before I left and hoped to get my blog post put together but welll.....

I just love the new Sweet as a Peach stamp set and the dies and fun DSP that Stampin Up! has right now in their new catalog.  I love how everything coordinates well together.

Directions to make this super easy card on your own:

-  Cut a sheet of 8-1/2 x 11" cardstock in half at 5-1/2" on the long side to get two standard A2 card bases
-  Score at 2-1/8" and the normal 4 1/4" fold as shown above and cut your pieces of dsp as desired             bepending on how many layers you want and depending on if you prefer 1/8" all around of as I             prefer 1/4" for layering.
-  Belly band measures 1-1/4" x 9-1/2"

If you enjoyed my card, comment with some love and if you decide to create your own card, I'd love for you to share!

I'm Back to Blogging - Free As A Bird Birthday Celebration!

Good morning my papercrafting peeps!  Boy has it been a minute since I have been on my blog and posted anything to share.  I am lucky I remembered my login info and how to even blog again, LOL!!!  My last blog post was back in 2015.....yeah thats crazy!  A lot has happened in my life since then.  I got divorced and moved, started a new full time job, remarried in 2017, concentrated on running half marathon races and trained to run my first Marathon in 2019 with the Marines in D.C., my youngest son just graduated high school a couple weeks and I am still waiting for 2020 craziness to be over!

I am finding that my true happy place (besides being on the beach of course) is stamping and papercrafting in my studio.  After a long day of work and that craiziness, I am ready to destress and stamp.

I have been busy with personal orders for greeting cards.  The card above I CASED from Pinterest with a few modifications to create a simple bird themed card for a friends mother-in-law.  I am in love with the "Free as a Bird" stamp set.  Its simple and easy to color and fussy cut.

I am hoping to stay on top with my creating and sharing with you along the way on my blog.  Give me a shout out if you enjoy what you are seeing.  Thanks for following.  If you see a supply item you would like to purchase or ask about, don't hestitate to reach out.
