Sorbet Colored with Blendabilities!

Good morning and thanks for joining me here at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are sharing projects created using blendabilities.  I wanted to do something a little different than the norm of coloring the whole image with the same shade of colors, i.e.-all red, all yellow, etc.  Yes, this time I chose three different colors.  One of the sweet things I enjoy is sorbet ice cream.  Not only is it yummy and tastes delicious, but its pretty to look at.  With all the shades of yellow, oranges and pinks.  It just makes one happy!

I used the dark shade of melon mambo, med. shade of pumpkin pie and the light shade of daffodil delight.  I started on the inside of the flower and worked my way out starting with melon mambo.  Together all three colors blended together to give me my sorbet ice cream look.  I finished it off with some rhinestones in the center a few swirled out to the sides.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, melon mambo
Ink ~ momento black ink
Blendabilities ~ melon mambo, pumpkin pie and daffodil delight
Stamp Set ~ blended bloom
Misc. ~ chevron embossing folder, basic rhinestones, daffodil seam binding ribbon

I hope you have enjoyed my twist on the use of blendabilities.  Leave some "love" and come see what the other designers created.

Fall Fun with Six Sided Sampler SSINK and PP213

Good morning!  Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration where we are playing around with the stamp set, Six Sided Sampler.  Today's project is also for the color challenge over at The Paper Players.  Great timing since I wanted to turn this into a "Fall" inspired page.

So normally I create 12x12" scrapbook pages for my albums but I have a 8x8" black display frame that sits on my fireplace mantel that I change every so often with pages.  Since Fall is just around the corner, I thought I'd get ahead of the game and get a new page ready to go for our first family Fall picture.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ baked brown sugar, cajun craze, blackberry bliss, always artichoke, very vanilla
Ink ~ same as cardstock colors
Stamp set ~ Six Sided Sampler
Punches ~ hexagon
Misc. ~ regal candy dots, burlap ribbon, little letters framelit set

Thanks again for stopping by to see my project.  I hope it INKspires you to pull out your supplies and create too!!

"Stache"-ingly Fun Christmas

Good morning and thanks for joining me here at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are sharing some early ideas for Christmas/Holiday cards.  If you have a large holiday card list, then its never to early to start thinking about what this years card is going to be and get a good head start on creating them.  I hope we INKspire you with an idea that you will use.

My Christmas card today is a simple one but has a lot of detail that sparkle.  I started with a base color of garden green and layered it with a strip of DSP from the Trim the Tree paper stack.  I also layered behind it a strip on each side of champagne glitter paper.  I colored with my Blendabilities the Santa from the Santa Stache stamp set.  I cut out another mustache, using the handy dandy mustache framelit and layered it with stampin dimensionals and added some dazzling diamonds for a sparkly detail.  I also added a pearl to his santa hat.  To finish it off I stamped a sentiment from the same set and cut the tail like a banner and stapled it to a smaller DSP banner.

EEEKKK!!! #SSINKSS13 September Layout Challenge!

Good Monday morning, time for another fun and this time simple sketch layout challenge here with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  We hope you will come play along with us.  So what are we waiting on, lets get started.  Below is our sketch layout.  Make it your own and link up your finished page thru our main blog post (click above link) or join our Facebook group and link it to the challenge post for today!  Either way, we just want to see you having fun and creating!!

I'll have to be honest and say that I don't have any Halloween pictures that need to be scrapbooked right now.  I guess you could say "I'm caught up)  But I thought I'd go ahead and create a fun and quick one ready for pictures for this coming Halloween.  Loving how quick MDS can make it for me when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to pull out all my hand held toys.

So now you've seen mine, let me see yours (challenge page that is----get your mind out of the gutter!!)  TEE-HEE!!

Merry Everything Bundle Fun!

Good Friday morning!  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration we are sharing projects created with bundles!  What I mean by bundles is that in the current full catalog and the holiday mini, there are certain stamp sets that are paired with a punch.  You can purchase them either separately or bundled together and save 15% off the price.  Who doesn't want to save money!

So for my bundle project I decided to create with the "Merry Everything" bundle.  It comes with a stamp set that has different tags for different holidays and occasion and a tag shaped punch.  Of course, I love Halloween, so I had to pick the cute little "Good to the Last Bite" stamp.

The fun part was writing out my candy list on the typeset DSP.  The cute buttons have simple black and white twine running thru each and the large dots are sponged in white craft ink.

All Things Fall September SSINK Blog Hop!!!

Good morning and thanks for visiting me at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today is Blog Hop day over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and we are sharing all things Fall.  Fall is one of my favorite times of year.  I really feel bad for those who live in an area that don't get to enjoy this wonderful time of year.  I love it when the air starts to turn cooler, the leaves are starting to turn to their beautiful fall colors and it also starts to put me in the mood for Halloween, hot apple cider and hot cocoa while setting by an outside campfire roasting marshmallows..... Ok, enough about yummy treats and on to the hop!!!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #10, Kim at Stamping with Kim  on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Last week I posted a scrapbook page that was for our color challenge, click HERE to go see it, and I promised that I would be creating a second page to go with it.

The colors are kept the same thru out this page too. Sahara sand for the page, rich razzleberry for the large background, early expresso for the film strip and crushed curry and calypso coral for the leaves.  I also used the same natural twine and gold buttons to accent the leaf clusters.  This background has also been stamped with an inked up chevron embossing folder and the acorns from the "For All Things" stamp set. On this page you have room for a 4x6 picture and two smaller wallet sized photos in the film strip.
On this page, I did a little something different. Instead of stamping the leaves from the stamp set and fussy cutting them out, I cut out the leaves using the autumn accents big shot die and then using the square-ish background stamp from the set, I stamped each leaf several times with each color.  They were quick and easy too!!
I couldn't just stop at a scrapbook page, I had to create a fun card to go along with it.  I kept the layers simple, starting with a base of rich razzleberry.  I next cut a layer of whisper white and shredded the edges and stamping random leaves in matching colors and added the detailed leaf stamp in rich razzleberry on top.  I finished it off with a bow tied in natural twine and attached on top of a gold button.  I'm so loving these gold buttons.

Now that you've seen my hop projects, leave some "love" and hop on over to stop #2, Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana.

Just Bite Me!! PCCCS108

Well I would say good morning like normal, but for todays challenge project, its a good evening.  Its totally throwing me off!  Today I wanted to play along with the fun sketch over at The Paper Craft Crew.  I thought I had until tomorrow to get it done, but I looked at the date wrong and well that it explains why I'm posting at 2:19pm.

Here is the sketch...
Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #108 for September 3, 2014. #stampinup #cardchallenge #papercraftcrew

and here is my take on it...

Last year Stampin' Up! released an awesome Halloween Photopolymer stamp set called, "Bite Me".  Its one of my favorites as I am a Halloween gal and couldn't wait for the right challenge to come along so I could use it.

My base is Crumb cake with an embossed layer with the larger polka dots folder.  I cut a strip and two 1-1/4" squares in crushed curry and sponged with in tangelo twist ink.  I made sure that when I stamped in web, it went over top the two squares for a little drama affect.  Turned out pretty cool!  I added three crushed curry candy dots to the top right corner and finished it off with a "happy Halloween" banner across the two layered squares.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ crumb cake, very vanilla, crushed curry, basic black
Ink ~ basic black, tangelo twist
Stamp set ~ Bite Me
Misc. ~ regal candy dots, polka dots folder, banner punch

I hope you have enjoyed my take on the sketch challenge.  Leave some "love", as I always enjoy reading your comments.  It motivates me to keep creating and having fun!

Fall Leaves Card Sketch Challenge #SSINKCS13

Good Monday morning!  Today I'm over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and its time for our Card Sketch Challenge.  Head on over, check out the details and play along with us.

Here is our sketch...

and here is what I came up with.  I have Fall on the brain cause I am so ready for the changing of the weather from blistering hot and humid to cooler weather.  Now that I'm starting to get up in miles for my half marathon training, cooler weather would be greatly appreciated!  I also enjoy the changing of the colors.  So glad I live in a state where I get to enjoy all four seasons.

So I am just in love with the For All Things stamp set.  Its our new fall stamp set from the holiday mini catalog.  There are pros and cons though.  The one con I have, is that I wish the leaf coordinated with the size of the matching leaf on the Big Shot Die, autumn accents, but it doesn't...but...if you look closely at my card you will see that my leaves have the same watercolor look as the leaves in the stamp set.  Here is what I did.  I cut out three leaves from the autumn accents die and used the square like stamp from the set and stamped over the leave shape.  This gives me a larger leaf that I don't have to fussy cut out and the same watercolor look.

I noticed that after I took the pic late last night, that my one tail of the ribbon is caught on the paper and it was at the top.  Not a big deal, but I'm sure someone noticed it already!!!

Spooky Leaves with MOJO361 & Curtain Call

Good morning!  Thanks for stopping by Ink a Doodle Creations to see me and my challenge project for Mojo Monday and Curtain Call.  This project card is totally different than what I had in my head coming into this sketch with Mojo Monday, but after seeing the leaf challenge over at Curtain Call, I decided to change the whole thing.  I went from a Christmas card to a Halloween card....how does that happen?!?

I am in love with the For All Things stamp set and its not because of the leaf, its because of the watercolor square shape.  I can cut out my own leaf shape from the autumn accents big shot die and stamp it up and have it look like a water colored leaf.  The Motley Monsters DSP pack worked perfect with the spooky forest print.  I pulled the colors of crushed curry and tangerine tango for my 3-d leaves.  I also stamped and colored the Spooky Screamy Halloweeny from the Mingle all the Way stamp set.
