Good day bloggers!  Thought I'd check in today with a scrapbook page.  The layout is from over at Stylin' Stampin' Inspiration.  Head over, check out details and join us with your take on the sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch.  I have created four scrapbook pages to frame and hang on the wall in my craft room.  I had one more to complete to get hung up.  With this great and fun sketch, I knew what I wanted my forth page to be......my boys football pics from this season!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!

Don't forget to head over to Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and check out what the design team members have come up with!

I hope you can see all my details in the this picture.  I just loved using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to make it look ruff and tough!! I also had fun using the candy dots to place on of the banners at the top, arrows at the bottom and scattered around the page on the ink blotches.

The other one cool item I used and i'm in love with is the new arrow embossing folder!  What arrow folder you say??  Well its one of my sneak peeks coming from the new Spring Mini catalog!

Winter Frost Teacher Treat Collection!

Andrew (my youngest-5th grade) has 4 teachers this year.  With 4 teachers it doesn't make it easy on the wallet to go buy gifts for each one, so I have made 4 small gift collections for each one. This is my 2nd gift collection.  I still have two more to finish by their day on Friday!!

This is the card that my son will write his own holiday message inside for his teacher!
This is a box made using the envelope punch board (of course!) and it has 4 decorated "thank you" note cards with envelopes inside.

Now you know how I am about recycling everyday items around the house...well here is another!  Can you guess what it is?!?!?!

Nope...I buy the small boxes of Walmart brand block cheese (kinda like Velveeta)  I always keep the cardboard boxes.  I used a clear window sheet and cut it down to size just perfect to wrap around the box.  It can slide off.  I decorated it using my favorite Winter Frost DSP pack and filled it with Hershey mini's (cause what teacher doesn't enjoy some chocolate!!!)

Supplies Used:
DSP:  Winter Frost
Stamps:  Festive Flurry, Oh, Goodie, Christmas Messages
Cardstock:  whisper white, island indigo, pool party, smokey slate
Ink:  pool party, island indigo
Misc.:  candy stripes folder, basic jewels, silver 1/8" ribbon, envelope punch board, circle framelit set

December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Quick Holiday Gifts

Thank you so much for joining us for the December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! This month our projects focus on quick and easy gift ideas for the holidays. As we enter the month of December, we find that the Christmas holidays are fast approaching. From decorating our homes, to holiday baking, we realize that shopping days are running low. Thats why we want to share quick and easy gift ideas that anyone can create in time for that special someone!

As you hop along, you will see that many of our design team members are giving away some great blog candy this month.   Leave a comment for each project and you will be entered in to win automatically!  Winners will be drawn Monday, December 16th, so don't forget to leave us those comments! (check out my special blog candy at the end of this post!)

You should have just left stop number 3 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Annie L. of Love Me Cards.  If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

With my son having four teachers this year, it makes it a little tricky to buy for all of them and not cost me an arm and a leg.  So my thought was this: what teacher does not need a little chocolate boost through out the day and what teacher does not need "Thank You" cards, so here is what I have come up with as a quick and easy gift collections using things that can be found around the house.

I am one that never throws away cute little plastic or cardboard containers that wrapped food items come in.  This lidded container used to hold a wrapped crisco butter stick (know which ones I'm talking about-they come in packs of three)....but now it has been turned into a cute candy box filled with chocolate truffles!
I used a two 12" strips of DSP and wrapped the sides.  I also created a simple belly band to slide on and off for added decoration and topped it with a stamped ornament.
Next, I used the envelope punch board and created a simple box to hold 3x3" note cards with envelopes.  Teachers are all the time needing "Thank You" cards!!

Last, is a card using the same matching DSP.  I will have my son write a special Christmas thank you message inside.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects for this months blog hop!  Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered into my drawing for some FREE Blog Candy!!!  The winner will be announced Monday, December 16th, so don't forget to include your email address with your comment.  Now its time to hop on over to Jamie H. of Unique Ink, with her wonderful holiday projects!

Let It Snow with SSInkspiration December Color Challenge

I will have to admit that when I saw the color challenge this month over at SSInkspiration, I was a little worried that I could come up with something to work with those tricky colors.  The issue is I wanted a winter theme but couldn't think of the stamp set I wanted to use, until I dug through the stack of stamp sets that I just recently purchased and oh wow....I had it!!  Best of Snow!!

I used the snowflake to stamp onto the three white squares in pistachio pudding ink and layered the backs with pistachio pudding cardstock.  I then stamped in raspberry ripple the let it snow stamp to put in the lower corner.

I hope you have enjoyed my card creation and the take on this months color challenge.  Leave me a comment of what you think.  I love reading your comments!

Card Supplies
Ink:  pistachio pudding, raspberry ripple
Cardstock:  pistachio pudding, whisper white, raspberry ripple and smoky slate
Stamp Sets:  best of snow
Misc.:  candy cane embossing folder, dazzling details, basic jewels

HSS #173 Be Merry

Finishing up the day with one more challenge.  This time its a sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Well this sketch was tricky for me, only because everything I had thought of using someone else had used it and I didn't want to feel like I was a copy cat!  I decided to use the four shapes on my card as holly leaf clusters!  I added some candy stripes to the large vanilla mat for some texture and topped it off with a bow!

Card Supplies:
cardstock -   cherry cobber, very vanilla, garden green and soft suede
stamp sets -  Christmas Messages, Be Merry
misc. -          chalk talk framelits, cherry cobber, seam binding ribbon, owl punch for holly berries   candy strips folder and holly came from my cricut

FM136 & PP172 A Nutty Thanks!

Back today with a project created for Friday Mashup and Paper Players.  First up is the challenge at Friday Mashup of using the colors of baked brown sugar, always artichoke and crushed curry with a 3-D item.  I couldn't end it there, I had to join it with Paper Players and add leaves!

So now here is my nutty creation!  I say "nutty" cause its a decorated recycled jar filled with "NUTS"!
Yep, I have become quite the hoarder of glass jars, boxes of all sorts and well yes, TP rolls!!
This jar was the frappuccino bottle that comes in a 4 pack.  It was the perfect size to fill with candy or in my case, nuts, to give as a small gift!

Project Ingredients:
cardstock - baked brown sugar, crushed curry and very vanilla
DSP -        sweater weather
Misc. -       burlap ribbon (Gosh I love this stuff!), lattice and woodgrain folder, regals candy dots, autumn                       accents bigz die and yes I did it, i'm a bad girl...I used a piece of retired always artichoke seam                     binding ribbon to tie it all together (literally!)

Ok, so here is what I came up with.  I'm pretty excited about it myself!  I think it turned out (as my friend says) CA-UTE!!  I think my favorite part is the way I cut the chevron ribbon in half and tied it together to create the lines for the bottom of the sketch.

Card Ingredients:
cardstock: rich razzleberry, whisper white
DSP:  season of style
Stamp Sets:  Christmas Collectibles and Christmas Messages
Misc.:  crushed curry chevron ribbon, antique brads and ornament punch

Stylin' Stampin' Squad November Blog Hop - Christmas!

Thank you so much for joining us for the November Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop! This month our projects focus on Christmas. While we yet have to give thanks this month, some of us are already thinking about sending Christmas cards, what kind of packaging to present gifts in and how we want to deck our halls. On this month’s blog hop we are showcasing many of the Stampin’ Up! products that are available in the Holiday Catalog. You will see everything from cards to gift tags to 3-D décor and gift packaging. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the products to create our projects and feel inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.

Remember you can order all of the products showcased from your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. You should have just left stop number #4 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Annie L. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Wow, its hard to believe that its that time of year already when we starting thinking about creating our Christmas cards and other fun holiday themed packages, etc.  Each year I like to change the theme of our Christmas cards around.  I mean, one year it may be and look country/classic like.  The next it may be something fun and cute!  This year it happens to be a year for fun and cute!
I have just fallen in love with this cute little snowman from the "Snow Day" stamp set, that I have come to know as, "Mr. Jingles".  Yes that's right, I name some of my stamps!  Mr. Jingles has become the official mascot for this years Christmas card!  He is just so fun & cute to decorate!  I used a small piece of ruffled ribbon to create his scarf and topped him off with a matching coastal cabana hat.  I also added 3 gems for his buttons, cause well, Mr. Jingles likes his bling!!

Now I couldn't just stop with a card this month for our hop.....no this year I have decided to make some of the gifts that our family and friends will be receiving.  I wanted to make all the ladies in my family (5) a paper pine cone ornament, cause one can never have to many handmade ornaments!
I wanted to make it match the card, so I used the beautiful "Winter Frost" DSP to create the pine cone.  I topped it off with a 3 layer bow and then centered with a "Frosted Finish Embellishment".

Card Ingred.:
Paper:  whisper white, island indigo, coastal cabana
Ink:  smokey slate, coastal cabana, island indigo and basic black
DSP:  Winter Frost
Stamp set:  Snow Day
Misc.: silver 1/8" ribbon, chevron border punch, coastal cabana ruffled ribbon, basic jewels

Ornament Ingred.:
DSP:  winter frost
Ribbon:  silver 1/8" ribbon, bermuda bay 1/8" ribbon and soft sky seam binding ribbon
Misc.: frosted finishes embellishments, Styrofoam egg

I so hope you have enjoyed both my projects this month and its inspired you to create your own cards and homemade gifts!

Now head over to stop #6 Jamie H. and check out her wonderful creations!

Dazzling Ornament Keepsake with CCMCWINTER 13-03

So I'm back again this time with a sketch from Create with Connie & Mary!  I wanted to try this one the other day, but I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to do.  Then it hit me, replace the circle with an ornament and wa la!!!  Here is their sketch, head over and give it a try.
CCMCWINTER13-03

so here is my take on the sketch....
I hope you can see the details.  I am not good at taking pictures of my cards, nor do I have the best spot to do so.  Oh well...I used versa mark and stamped the ornaments on both black pieces, then heat embossed with clear powder to give them a glassy look.

I stamped two ornaments, one in black and one in bermuda bay and layered them on top each other to replace the circle in the sketch.  Added some bermuda ribbon to the BB cardstock border and topped the ornament with a doubled bow and the card is complete!!

Card Ingred.:
INK:                   black, bermuda bay and versa mark
PAPER:              black, whisper white and bermuda bay
STAMP SETS:   christmas messages (inside) and ornament keepsake with match framelits
MISC.:                silver and bermuda bay 1/8" ribbon, white taffeta ribbon, clear embossing power and                                    basic jewels

Fab Friday 30 Gently Falling

Hey bloggers, I'm back with a card creation for a new blog that I thought I would try called, "Fab Friday"!  Head on over and give this weeks color challenge a try.  I was a little nervous at first with the 5 colors, but once I picked my two base colors, it hit me and I knew just what to do with the others.  I think it turned out just "FAB!"

So I needed a get well soon card, and new I wanted to use one of my favorite fall sets called, "Gently Falling".  I love the options with the two step layering you can do with this set.  And whats a card without a banner or two!

Card Ingredients:
paper:  early espresso, old olive and very vanilla
ink:  cajon craze and early espresso
stamps:  gently falling
misc.:  woodgrain folder, candy dots in old olive
dsp:  sweater weather
