Sweet Sorbet Petal Parade with FMS129

Today I had some free time during my kids nap time and thought I would use my time wisely.  Of course by that, I mean...paper crafting!!  House work can wait!!  I wanted to play along with the nice and simple sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  It was a lot of fun putting this card together.  I wanted to go all out and use several items from our almost ending Sale-a-Bration catalog (sniff, sniff!!).  The one thing I will miss the most is the Sweet Sorbet DSP.  I just love how it can be dressed up with black and it still looks fun and Springy!

The second thing I will miss, is the accessory pack with the awesome twine.  Oh who am I kidding...I'm also gonna miss the decorative dots embossing folder and the Petal Parade stamp set-and the list goes on and on!!  Maybe Stampin' Up! will hear our cries and keep some of the items around a bit longer?!?!

Well I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you've enjoyed my take on the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Don't forget to leave some "love" before leaving.  I always enjoy reading your thoughtful comments on my projects.

Petal Parade with CTD282

Stop #1 on the card hunt today is with Color Throwdown.  I came across the challenge while searching around blogs the other day.  Thought I'd give it a try and so far I'm wowed by their awesome color combos!

I so like the triple stamp technique, but decided to take it down a step and make it one layer instead of three.  I did stick with colors of real red and daffodil delight, but substituted the lucky limeade for pearl pizzazz.

I hope you have enjoyed my card for today, please leave some "love" before heading out!

Petal Parade Card in a Box

Good Thursday morning!  Yep glad its Thursday and Wednesday is long gone, see ya later!!  It was a rough one.  Hopefully today will be better.  This past weekend I worked on my demo project for my March stamp club coming up, but last night I wanted to create another one to show how you can have fun decorating them in so many ways.  So what in the world am I talking about you say?  Well I'm talking about the darn cute little cards in a box, everyone has been seeing around all over the internet and pinterest!

I came across Tina Weller's great blog and she has am awesome video tutorial and a printable pdf that you can print off for later.  She shows great step by step instructions on how to create this adorable box and it made it super easy to create my own version.  So without further ado.....

I wanted to showcase the Petal Parade stamp set and Sweet Sorbet DSP.  Two great items out of the 2014 Sale-a-Bration catalog.  These two items are available to earn for FREE with a $50 purchase until March 31, 2014!  I wanted to add lots of layers to this one to show how it can be dressed up a lot or kept simple like our version for March club.
