Misc. ~ speech bubble framelit set, scalloped border punch, crystal affects

Good morning, today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and we thought we'd share a special non-traditional post with you.  It's "Contraband" day.  As you may know, SSINK is a blog that is 100% Stampin' Up!, but well some of us designers do like to play with our toys too.  So today we wanted to share projects using some of those other toys.

One of my little sins, is My Favorite Things.  They do have some really cute stamp sets with matching dies.  One of my recent purchases was this cute little donuts and sprinkle stamp set and die set.  I also used one of the blueprint die sets they offer too.

Best Mother Ever CYCI#62

Good morning!  Its Sunday and its the BIG day....I am up at this very moment getting ready to run my half marathon in Va. Beach for Shamrock!  Its also time for a new challenge at Can You Case It?  Come get inspired by our designers and come play along.

I am working on Mother's day cards so I have plenty to take to my sisters hair shop where she sales my cards for me.  This is a quick and easy one, but beautiful at the same time.

I love the butterfly basics stamp set and framelits we have.  They make any card lovely.  I stamped and cut one out in daffodil delight, matching my cardstock base and then cut one out in black and cut it in half the fit behind it, adding a simple layer.  I love the detail of the gold bakers twine and candy dots too.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, basic black and daffodil delight
Stamp set ~ butterfly basics, and many more
Misc. ~ gold bakers twine, brights candy dots, butterfly framelit set, spring flowers embossing folder

Lucky You CYCI#61

Good morning!  Today is Sunday and a busy one it will be.  I got up early to go run early with some friends as we start tapering down our miles for the Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon next week.  I am so excited yet nervous too.  I have ran other halves but this one I am really trying to set a better PR for myself and with this race in mind, our challenge at Can You Case It? this week for St. Patrick's Day (shamrocks) came at a perfect time)  Come get inspired with our designers and play along with our Clean and Quick, St. Patrick's Day Edition challenge.

This really is a card that you can create in 10 min. or under.  I started with a base of old olive (my favorite green) and cut a layer that measures 5"x3-3/4" and just added some torn strips of washi tape in random places.  I cut our three white hears and created this cute clover and used my stamp n' write marker to add some stiches.  I popped on an old olive green button to the center and scattered some gold sequins around.

All Things Flowers March BLOG HOP with SSINKspiration

Well its that time again.  Time to get our Blog Hop on over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  This month we are focusing on "flowers".  Just in time too, cause I think by now, we are all a little but sick of the snow and are ready for some warmer weather and the signs of Spring to come and what better sign, than those little pretty flowers starting to come up out of the ground.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #8 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop -Dj's Stampin Place . If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I created this pretty Mother's Day card using the Crazy About You and the Petite Petals stamp sets.  Both are a cute accent to each other.  And you can't have a Mother's day card, without some added pearls.  I wanted to use soft shades, so I went with the colors of: crisp cantaloupe, lost lagoon and pistachio pudding.

I hope you have enjoyed my Mother's Day flower card.  Leave some "love" and head on over to our last stop on the Hop with Carrie at Carrie Stamps

Cheerful Critters

Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and our designers are sharing projects created with the super cute Cheerful Critters stamp set.  I love when we have stamp set focus days.  I feel its a great way to see many different ways to use just one stamp set.

My layout is pretty simple with the use of the DSP as a large banner, but in the end I just had to add some of the cute little pom pom trim and two cute little buttons. I also used my smoky slate and daffodil delight blendabilities to color in the Easter bunny.  (please note that at this time, SU! has turned off all ordering of the blendabilities until some issues can be worked out.  Please check back often to check on the status.  I can't wait for their return!)

Lets Cas(e) It Color Challenge CYCI#60

Good Sunday morning!  Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend so far.  Today I am over at CYCI? and we are ready for an all new color challenge.  So go grab those colors and get creative!
As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you get to received the Stampin' Connection magazine that's full of ideas.  This was a card displayed in our March/April edition and I just loved the layout, so I thought I would Cas(e) it.

I just thought the little single banner coming across the front was just to cute.  I started with just a simple base of soft sky and stamped on some splatter using the grunge stamp set.  Next I cut a vanilla layer and rounded only two corners for my bird image, which I colored in wild wasabi and soft sky blendabilities.  To finish it off, I added a couple in color sequins off the side for a little added bling!

Baby Clay Buttons

Good Wednesday morning!  Today I am over at SSINKspiration and we are sharing projects that somewhere on it use Stampin' Up!'s simply pressed clay.

I hadn't used or played around with mine in a while, and had forgotten how fun it is to create fun buttons, flowers or really anything that your imagination lets you.  For todays project I created a cute little simple baby card and created one each of the three buttons using the Clay Molds.  After they had dried really good, I used my stampin' write markers of hello honey, crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding to color each one and attached them with a simple glue dot.

Thanks for stopping by, head on over to see what a couple of the others created using the clay.

Front Door Wreath #SSINKCC19

Good morning, its Monday and time for an all new color challenge at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  We hope you get inkspired and come take on our challenge.  We love seeing new players and can't wait to see what you create with our color palette.

I will have to admit, these colors scared the daylights out of me.  I didn't know what in the world I was gonna do.  I walked over to my stamp cabinet and looked and searched for the perfect stamp set that would work for these colors.  Then it hit me, I would create a cute front door card as my base and use the Wonderous Wreath stamp set.  And it worked perfectly.  I used my pictogram punches stamp set to stamp tone on tone a few flowers and punched them out with matching flower punch.  The wreath in stamped in baked brown sugar to represent a kinda grape vine wreath.  I finished it off but stamping "happy easter" on a cute little banner to attach to the wreath.

Irresistibly Yours #CYCI59

Good Sunday morning!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I am over at Can You Case It? and we have a fun sketch challenge for you this week.  I hope you get inspired by my challenge card and you will come join us!

Above is our sketch and below is what I created with it.

I am in love with the butterfly basics stamp set and matching framelit set.  I also love the irresistibly yours embossed DSP pack.  Its one of the items you can select for FREE when you place a min. $50 order now thru March 31, 2015.  I love it, cause its already while embossed and ready for ink.  No versa mark, no messy powders or heat guns.  Just use your sponge or finger dauber, smear on the ink and use a napkin to wipe off the extra and its done.  I wanted to keep my colors simple so I just went with crumb cake as my base layer and hello honey as my second layer.  The lace trim is my favorite as I just used my hello honey ink and finger dauber to rub on the ink.  It turned out so nice.

I hope you have enjoyed my challenge card for this weeks sketch challenge.  I hope you get inspired and you decide to get crafty with us over at CYCI?
