Witches Brew with PCCCS107

Good mornings, its Friday, Friday, Friday!!!  This is going to be one busy weekend, so lets gets started.  Todays challenge card is for the sketch over at The Paper Craft Crew.  Yesterday started the shopping frizzy from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog.  So in honor of this wonderful and exiting catalog, my card is showcasing a couple items from it.  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and this set is just perfect for all my freakly little friends!

I used the Motley Monsters DSP pack, and love how you can use it for just bright colored backgrounds or use with the bold monster patterns it has. I used the striped scallop thinlit, cut it in two pieces and layered them to look like a spiderweb.

For my witch, I used my basic pens and colored her in.  For the bat I added a couple really small google eyes and a old olive colored pearl to put on the witches nose for a wort...Eeewww Gross!!!!

Freaky Little Friends Holiday Catalog Showcase!!

Good morning and welcome to Ink a Doodle Creations!  Today the design team members over Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration are sharing fun projects made with all new items from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog.  Lets just say, you are gonna love this catalog, I already own about one each of everything....my poor checkbook is so mad at me right now!!

One of my favorite holidays is Halloween.  Next to Christmas, its my favorite one for decorating my home, making cute and fun projects and who doesn't love the yummy chocolate candy you get!!  I decided to create with one of the new Halloween stamp sets called, "Freaky Friends" and coordinating DSP pack, Motley Monsters.  This set is just full of cute little monsters!

The layout of my card is really simple so I'm not gonna explain in detail how its put together, but I will say I used three more new items from the mini on this card.  Can you guess what they are?!  Ok, times up!  #1-ghoulish greetings stamp set, #2-white/tangerine tango two tine trim, #3-lucky stars embossing folder.

Now time for this cute little box.  Wonna know how I made it?  Of course you do!  You know that ever so needed, awesome, terrific envelope punch board we have?  Well we now have another ever so needed, awesome and terrific box making punch board!!!  This box started out as a 8"x8" piece of paper and now its transformed into this cute 2-1/4"x2-1/4"x1-3/4".  I stamped the box with the spooky eyes from the same stamp set and wrapped a band around the box with the same matching DSP.  I wrapped and tied a bow using again the same twist trim and attached a tag I created.  I plan to create another card and box, and fill each with my sons favorite chocolates and their Halloween treats are finished!!!

I'm starting to see signs of Halloween in the stores already and well with all the cute new spooky things in the upcoming Stampin' up! Holiday Mini, well I just couldn't pass up turning my card into a Halloween one!  This technique was fun and one that I will do again soon!

Ink ~ smoky slate, pumpkin pie, old olive blendabilities, whisper white craft ink
Punches ~ owl and bird, circles for sponging in white

Amazing Birthday!

Good morning and thanks for stopping by this fine Friday!  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are sharing projects made from the ever so popular "Amazing Birthday" stamp set.  I have seen so many cute things made with this set, and our design team members have really done a great job showing even more things that can be done with it.  Here is what I created...

The one thing I really love about this set, is that you can do some fun layering with it.  For example, I stamped the whole "make today amazing" stamp in rich razzleberry.  But then I used my tempting turquoise and pumpkin pie to stamp just the "make" and "amazing" parts to cut out and layer with foam dots.  I like how the strawberry slush on film frame helps it all stand out.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend.  Come back Monday to see what fun things I created over the weekend.  Now leave some "love" and go check out the other design team members and their creations.  Happy Stamping!!!

Hello Feathers with PPA215

Good morning and thanks for stopping by Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today I am sharing my project card for the color challenge over at Pals Paper Art.  Just loved these colors together and I think it worked perfectly for the new Four Feathers stamp set.  Yep, I did it again, I am showing a sneak peek from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

This feather set is just so darn cute.  And what's even better, is that you can purchase the matching framelit set that will cut them out too!  My card base is basic black and layers of dsp from the Confetti Celebration pack.  I also layered in a solid strip of pear pizzazz and an embossed white piece at the very top using the tiny triangles folder.  I stamped one feather in strawberry slush and the other in pear pizzazz.  This feather was cut out with the framelit and attached with a couple foam dots.  I also used the Little Letters framelit set to cut out the letters to spell "HELLO".  Finishing off the card, I placed three black candy dots at the top.

Thanks again for stopping by, leave some "love" and check back in tomorrow to see what challenge I'll be playing along with.

A Swapping Good Time

Good morning, its time for another SSINKspiration Blog Hop!  Today we are sharing our swap cards created just for the design teams members in our Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration group.  Going to a Stampin' Up! Convention is always fun, but when you get to meet with the ladies you chat with almost everyday over Facebook, it makes it so much more exciting!!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #2 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop -Donna S. of Organized Chaos  . If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Since I was using the stamp set, "Flower Patch" to create my projects for our groups display board, I thought I would keep the mojo going and crank out one more card design using this set.  I started with a base color of tangelo twist and cut and embossed a layer with whisper white.  Using my envelope punch board, I punched out a tab on each side at the top for my ribbon to wrap around.  The flowers are colors of island indigo, tangelo twist and sahara sand.

On the inside, I stamped one large flower with three little leaves to the side.
