Welcome Baby #FM219

Good Friday morning!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I am over at The Friday Mashup where Tara has a fun new challenge for us this week!  We can't wait to see what you create and WOW us with!

Here's your Mashup Challenge this week:
  • Create a project using the colors "Pink, Grey & Sky".
  • Create a "Square shaped card".
  • or Mash it Up and created  a "Square shaped card using the above colors".

So seeing these soft color pallet made me think "baby".  One of the stamp sets I own but don't play around with much is the Something For Baby.  Its a fun stamp set with all the baby themed accessories.  One of my favorites is the onsie.  I stamped it in soft sky and added some twisted ribbon behind it and paired it with some retired pink washi tape and embossed my white later in the stars embossing folder and rubbed on some soft sky ink to help them stand out.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, smoky slate
Ink ~ smoky slate, soft sky
Stamp set ~ Something for Baby, And many more
Misc. ~ subtle and neutral candy dots, soft sky ribbon, misc. washi tape, star embossing folder

I hope you have enjoyed my challenge card this week.  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers created!!

Pinterest Inspired!!

Good morning and thanks for stopping by here at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today I am over at SSINKspiration and we are sharing projects inspired by Pinterest.  You know that place online we all just can't get enough of.  From Recipes, to color combos, to card sketches and home decorating ideas, one can find just about anything on Pinterest.  Its such an inspiring one stop shop.  As I was browsing and looking for something to pop out at me, I was a little hungry and look what caught my eye?!  YEPPER, cake with sprinkes!!!

So with cake and the fun colored sprinkles it made me think of cupcakes and one of the all new stamp sets in the upcoming Stampin' Up! catalog coming June 2, "Sprinkles of Life".

I am in love with cupcakes anyway, but now I can create fun ones, with any colored frosting and toppings, but without the calories!!!

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, vellum, cucumber crush
DSP ~ cherry on top stack
Stamp set ~ sprinkles of life
Punches ~ new triple banner punch, tree builder punch, corner rounder
Misc. ~ basic rhinestones, cherry on top washi tape, lots of dots embossing folder

Now leave some "love" and head on over to see what inspired our other designers!!

Easter Wishes CYCI#64

Good Sunday Easter morning!   Today I am over at Can You Case It? and we are sharing our new color challenge.  Grab those colors and get crafty!

I thought in celebration of Easter and finally some nice Spring weather, I pull out my Blessed Easter tulip stamp and play around with it.  I started with a base of sahara sand and stamped on a background with the off the grid stamp as well as the gorgeous grunge stamp set.  I just love both of these together.  I really like how I pulled in the colors of crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding with the mini banners, the sequins along with the twine.

I hope you have enjoyed my design team card for this weeks color challenge.  Leave some "love" and don't forget to hop on over and see what the other team members have created.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ sahara sand, very vanilla, crisp cantaloupe
Ink ~ sahara sand, basic black
Markers ~ crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding
Stamps ~ blessed easter, gorgeous grunge, off the grid
Misc. ~ in color sequins, crisp cantaloupe twine, banner punch, stacked with love washi tape

Lucky You CYCI#61

Good morning!  Today is Sunday and a busy one it will be.  I got up early to go run early with some friends as we start tapering down our miles for the Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon next week.  I am so excited yet nervous too.  I have ran other halves but this one I am really trying to set a better PR for myself and with this race in mind, our challenge at Can You Case It? this week for St. Patrick's Day (shamrocks) came at a perfect time)  Come get inspired with our designers and play along with our Clean and Quick, St. Patrick's Day Edition challenge.

This really is a card that you can create in 10 min. or under.  I started with a base of old olive (my favorite green) and cut a layer that measures 5"x3-3/4" and just added some torn strips of washi tape in random places.  I cut our three white hears and created this cute clover and used my stamp n' write marker to add some stiches.  I popped on an old olive green button to the center and scattered some gold sequins around.

Autumn Washi Tape Leaves with a Thank You Treat for SSINK

Good morning!  Time for another fun project for over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  Today we sharing projects created with Washi Tape. Oh yea, I said it, washi tape!  Don't you just love this stuff?!  Its a staple in my craftroom and it sits front and center on my work countertop.

I created both these items using the color me autumn washi tape from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Both items are for my sons favorite teacher he had last year as a special Thank You gift.   This year, she picked him to be his student helper for one of his class periods.  I think she kinda likes him!!

She loves chocolate chip cookies, (of course so do I!!) so I plan to bake some and place them in the bag. (I'm sure I'll a have a few that just won't fit no matter how hard I try...Oh, what will I do with them?!?!?)

Up close of the leaves.  They were so fun and super easy to make.  I cut a piece of very vanilla to fit the size of each leaf I wanted to cut from the Autumn Accents Die.  Then I layered on washi tape until it was completely covered.  Once covered, I layed the piece on top of the die and ran it threw my Big Shot (WOW!!.... that was a close call....I hit the "i" instead of the "o" in the word "shot"!!  That could of been a real funny blooper post!!!  I just love the extra sparkle with the champagne glitter acorn on the bag and the leaf on the card.

I'll have Andrew write a special note inside the card just for her, to make it even more special.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ very vanilla
Ink ~ blackberry bliss
Stamp set ~ many thanks
Misc. ~ color me washi tape, gold bakers twine, champagne glitter paper, autumn accents big shot die, wooden clothes pins, chevron paper bags

I hope you have enjoyed both my projects today using one of my favorite sets of washi tape.  Leave some "love" and head on over to our main blog to see what the others have created!

Festival of Trees Prototype #1 Family Christmas Card

Good morning and thanks for joining me here at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and we are sharing some early Christmas cards.  Now's about the time I start thinking about how I want our family Christmas card to look.  I usually make up about 3-4 prototypes and lay them out in front of the family and let them decide. Well.....I let them give their opinion, then I decide!!!!!  Well, I am the MOM, it has to count for something!  This is the 1st of four prototypes I will have for them.  This card is a little detailed, but keep in mind that I only hand make about 10-12 handmade cards.  They go to those who I know appreciate my cards, but also the time I have put into them.  All others....well they get really simple cards.

One of my favorite stamp sets from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog is the Festival of Trees set.  Not only do I love that its a photopolymer stamp set (easy for stamping and layering the decorations), but it also has a coordinating punch to cut the trees out.  I love things that coordinate together to make my life run smoother.  One, well, two of the cute factors of this card for me, is the silver sequins and the cute little banner cluster at the top left corner.  Its just something about banners that make a card...just....cute!!

I punched out two solid trees in smoky slate and lost lagoon and then stamped one from the set in pear pizzazz and added a few basic rhinestones to the dots.

On the inside, I added some all is calm washi tape and added a couple more trees.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, lost lagoon, pear pizzazz
DSP ~ all is calm
Ink ~ lost lagoon, pear pizzazz
Stamp set ~ festival of trees
Misc. ~ all is calm washi tape, frosted sequins, tree punch, on point embossing folder, banner punch

I hope you have enjoyed my first prototype Christmas card and you want to participate in a fun contest (read below for the details).  Come back and keep your eye out for the second prototype card I will post next week.  After all four prototypes have been posted, I will have a contest and there will be a prize!!  Leave some "love" and go visit our main blog to see some more great ideas for Christmas cards, you might get INKspired!!!

If you want to play along, here is how:  for 4 weeks I will post a Christmas card choice (#1 thru #4) here on my blog.  Comment on each post and on the final #4 card, I will have a voting panel set up on my facebook page for you to vote which is your favorite.  If my family (i.e. husband and two sons) picks the winning card that got the most votes, you will be entered in to WIN a Stampin' Up! surprise!!!

Thank you so much for joining us for our January Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Love is in the air and our talented group of design team members have a Whole Lotta Love Goin' On as we are excited to be sharing some NEW Occasions Catalog goodies and some Valentine's Day projects with you this month!

You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop – Anastasia R. with Stampin Blondie. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find  the full blog hop lineup below.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog!  We are always excited to hear from our followers!

I am happy to share with you two valentines day projects!  I created both using the Watercolor Wonder washi tape from the new Spring Mini Catalog.  Washi tape is so fun and easy to use, its just crazy with all the things I've done with it.  It's become one of my must have items in my craft room.
You can't give a card without a little treat box filled with chocolates on Valentines Day!

The card was created using the heart framelit set.  I cut out a large heart in the middle and a small one on each side.  I used the washi tape to place behind each heart,  embossed the top layer using the new Arrow embossing folder and placed foam dots at each corner to raise it up.  I also sprayed the front of card using smooched spritz to add a little shine.  For a sparkle touch, I added some single gold sequences.
The cute little box is perfect for a handful of Hershey kisses or in my case, four chocolate truffles!  Yummy...Yummy!!

I hope you have enjoyed both my valentines day projects.  Head on over to stop #3 Dawn S. of Dawn's Creative Chalet and see what she has created!  As always, please don't forget to leave comments for each of us design team members!
