Pierced In Blooms Birthday Card

 Happy Hump Daymy crafting peeps!

Husband had a meeting last night and left me all along at home...oh what is a lady to do?

I ate dinner, and high tailed it back to my craftroom of course!  LOL!

I had never played with my In Blooms stamp set or the matching Pierced Blooms die set (I know I'm lame) but I did and I now love this collection.  So many wonderful things can be created.

I found a card very simular in design that I fell in love with.  I didn't have quite the same DSP or a few of the flower elements she used but thats why CASing is fun, you get to edit and make it still your own.

I hope you have enjoyed my paper creation.  Show some love with some happy comments and I hope to be back later this week with something new and fun to share!

Free as a Bird Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday my stampin friends!  Hope everyone has been well.  A little rainy here in Virginia so I'm enjoying my morning warm inside in my craftroom.

I had gotten a little burned out with so many paper projects during the holiday for craft shows, special orders and my own gifts and Christmas cards to mail out, I decided to take a little break and enjoy some much needed reading time (my other passion)

I bought myself a new simple 2022 calendar and went through and wrote in all my birthdays for the year and other special events that I need cards for.  Today I decided to work on a birthday card for a special friend!

I used some retired SU! DSP that coordinates with the stamp set "Free as a Bird". The bird and branch with flowers were colored with my Stampin Blenders. Added some bling and some ribbon and I'm done.

From the Herd - Penny Spinner Card!

Hello my stampin peeps!  Thanks for stopping by today to check out my penny spinner card that I created as a fun Birthday card for my older sister.  She loves pigs, so I thought I would pull out one of my fun MFT "My Favorite Things" stamp set and matching dies that I have.  Now I know I enjoy my SU! stamp items, but I too like many others enjoy stamp sets and fun items from other companies.  Its all about sharing what you love!  These cute farm animals are fun to color with my SU! blenders.

If you would like to create your own fun "penny spinner card",
you can find many easy videos on youtube.

Had to add another cute pig on the inside...

The barn doors open so you can reveal a hidden animal or in my case, a stamped sentiment that says, "from my barn to yours".  How cute and fun is this right?!

Supplies Used:
stamp set & Dies:  The Whole Herd and matching dies, Barn Die-Namics
paper color:  basic red, whisper white, daffodil delight
ink colors:  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Blenders:  basic gray, daffodi delight, real red, petal pink, crumb cake, old olive

A Peachy Birthday!

Hello my stampin' peeps!  Trying to get back into the swing of things while being out all last week on vacation.  Its fun to go away but its also fun to return to home where its normal. I need a vacation from vacation if that makes since, LOL!

Today I want to share a fun fold card I made before I left and hoped to get my blog post put together but welll.....

I just love the new Sweet as a Peach stamp set and the dies and fun DSP that Stampin Up! has right now in their new catalog.  I love how everything coordinates well together.

I'm Back to Blogging - Free As A Bird Birthday Celebration!

Good morning my papercrafting peeps!  Boy has it been a minute since I have been on my blog and posted anything to share.  I am lucky I remembered my login info and how to even blog again, LOL!!!  My last blog post was back in 2015.....yeah thats crazy!  A lot has happened in my life since then.  I got divorced and moved, started a new full time job, remarried in 2017, concentrated on running half marathon races and trained to run my first Marathon in 2019 with the Marines in D.C., my youngest son just graduated high school a couple weeks and I am still waiting for 2020 craziness to be over!

I am finding that my true happy place (besides being on the beach of course) is stamping and papercrafting in my studio.  After a long day of work and that craiziness, I am ready to destress and stamp.

I have been busy with personal orders for greeting cards.  The card above I CASED from Pinterest with a few modifications to create a simple bird themed card for a friends mother-in-law.  I am in love with the "Free as a Bird" stamp set.  Its simple and easy to color and fussy cut.

I am hoping to stay on top with my creating and sharing with you along the way on my blog.  Give me a shout out if you enjoy what you are seeing.  Thanks for following.  If you see a supply item you would like to purchase or ask about, don't hestitate to reach out.

Supplies Used:

Stampin Up Stamp Set:  Free as a Bird, Sending you Thoughts
Paper & Ink Colors:  Misty Moonlight, vanilla, memento black ink
Blenders:  Mango Melody, Seaside Spray, Mint Macaron
Misc. Items:  basic pearls, stampin' seal adhesive, stampin' dimensionals

Its a Mystery??

Good morning peeps!  Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and I am sharing one of my favorite design team challenges yet.  So all the designers who wanted to play, switched up names and mailed our person #3 items of our choosing.  These items could of been a stamped image, a piece of ribbon, a button, etc.....once we received or mystery items, we had to take a picture of our items and then get to work creating putting together a project using them.  Let me just say, I had so much fun!

So Jennifer had my name and the above items is what she mailed me.  Do you think these items would be tricky?  The only trick I had was trying to find a way to use all three of the blossoms.  I just love the color she chose for me to work with.  Mini Macaron is one of my favorite new In Colors.

Here is what I came up with....isn't it just lovely.  I started with a card base of whisper white and cut a layer of white and embossed it with the large polka dotted folder.  I used her piece of DSP and cut off 1" to use to opposite side for a banner layer down the middle.  (One can't choose just one side, you need to enjoy both!)  I cut out a circle layer using my framelit set and attached the butterfly with some dementionals, after adding some silver twine in behind.  I decided to place my #3 blossoms in the center of the butterfly.  I am happy with how it turned out in the end.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white
Ink ~ mint macaron
Stamp set ~ watercolor wings, birthday blossoms
Misc. ~ in color blossoms, silver bakers twine, circle framelit set, polka dot embossing folder

Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Bundle by Stampin' Up!

I have several bundles that I enjoy, but the butterfly basics is truly one of my favorites.  Its very easy to use and versatile in creating any style of card.

I couldn't just stop at one, I have to create and share three different versions using all new in colors for my bases and ink choices.

I stayed consistent with the use of the stripes from the typeset DSP pack.  The base and butterfly is using Watermelon Wonder color.

Second card, is using mint macaron and delightful Dijon ink for the flowers, butterfly and lace ribbon.

The third card has a base of tip top taupe and the flower is colored and stamped with tip top taupe and mint macaron.  I used vellum to cut out half of the large butterfly from the die set.

Now head on over to stop #4 and see what fun bundle Leanne chose to play around with!  Leave me some "love", I always enjoy reading your comments!

Your Presents Sketch Challenge #SSINKCS24

Good morning blogging peeps! I hope everyone had a nice weekend!  The weather here in Virginia has been great!  Nice cool mornings and nights.  Perfect for early morning runs and evenings sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee!

Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and its the first Monday of the month, which means its time for an all new card sketch challenge.  Come check out what I created, then go get crafty and play along with us!!!

Our sketch for August.....

......and this is what I came up with.  At Convention this year, our FREE stamp set was one from the new upcoming Holiday Mini catalog...."Your Presents".  I only got to play with it one time at convention during our make and take and decided to break it in some more.  You can never have to many birthday cards so I used bright and coloring colors of Bermuda bay, watermelon wonder and crushed curry to create these fun gifts!  I also stamped and threw in a little "Amazing Birthday" for the sentiment and a fun watermark birthday cake on the Bermuda bay present.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ Bermuda bay, whisper white
Ink ~ Bermuda bay, crushed curry and watermelon wonder
Stamp sets ~ Your Presents and Amazing Birthday
Misc. ~ black sequins, black twine and large polka dot embossing folder

I hope you have been inkspired by my take on the sketch.  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers have created!
