A Thanksgiving Thank You #CYCI45

Thanks for joining me here with Can You Case It?  Today not only starts a new week, but it also starts a new challenge.  This week, if you choose to except it, is our Thanksgiving Edition.  We want to first of all give a big shout out to all our blog and challenge followers.  You make this possible for us to keep crafting on.  We love seeing what you create each week with our challenges and hope you will keep the creations coming.

I saw a cute card on pinterest that was my inspiration for this card, but can't find it now for the life of me.  If you know which card I'm talking of, please leave me a comment, so I can give credit where its due.  I used the cute little petite leaf shapes in the fun fall framelit set to cut out my shapes from the tangelo twist strip.  I then used the cut outs to attach off to the side.

My fun element for this card, is the cute little oak leaf from the autumn wooden elements pack.  I inked it up with early espresso ink and tied it on with matching bakers twine.  Its fun how the little small things on a card can add such great and fun detail.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ very vanilla, tangelo twist
Ink ~ early espresso
Stamp set ~ October my paper pumpkin sentiment set, gorgeous grunge
Misc. autumn wooden elements, early espresso bakers twine, fun fall framelit set

Thanks again for stopping my.  I hope you have enjoyed my project.  Again, thank you for your support of your challenge blog.  Go see what the others have created for inspiration, then go get crafty!

Full of Gratitude November SSINK BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the November Blog Hop over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  This month we are creating projects based around "Gratitude".

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - with Darcy at Dj's Stampin' Place  . If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

For me, gratitude can come in small does, i.e., I am thankful and show gratitude for my fresh cup of coffee each morning.  Or it can come in large doses, I am thankful for and show gratitude to my families good health and safety.  Sometimes it can be for in the middle things and that is why my project is for.  I show such appreciation and gratitude for the teachers at my sons schools.  They work so hard, but yet get so little in return.  I am not a teacher at a school but do provide care for children each day in my home and I believe it takes a special person to be around children all day long.  Teachers are there to educate our children, to keep them safe when not with there parents, and to help them grow as a person.  I created this one, but all my sons teachers will get one before Thanksgiving break, a cute little treat holder.

Now you could put anything inside your bag:  a large cookie, several small pieces of candy or in my case, three cinnamon apple spiced flavored tea bags.  What teacher couldn't use a nice cup of hot tea.

This version is the one my stamp club ladies will be making in December at stamp club.  This one is a little more Festive and Merry and filled with peppermint life savers.

Thank you again for stopping by.  Now leave some "love" and hop on over to stop #3 with Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana.  I just know you are gonna love her project.

Give Thanks!

Good day bloggers.  This card is for http://www.creative-sketches.com/ this week.  Our challenge to you, is to use the color palette of riding hood red, so saffron and more mustard.  I had to think about these colors for a minute, cause my brain is on Christmas/Winter right now and totally forgot Fall is still around.  Use the color inspiration photo below, get creative, make a project and hop on over and enter our challenge.

This creation is not quite my original idea (but whose is anymore!).  I got the door idea from http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/2011/10/rectangle-door-card.html.  I used the colors of choc. chip for the main door and soft suede for the door front panels.  I also embossed the door and front panel only with a wood grain embossing folder.  I also used a misc. leaf punch for the wreath on the door (which is my idea).  They are attached to a scalloped circle punch with the center punched out with a 1-1/4" circle punch.  I topped off each wreath with a small bow using 1/8" red grosgrain ribbon.  I made door handles with simple black brads.

Give Thanks

Wow, Holy Cow, Tarter Sauce...its been way to long since I have posted to my blog.  I am such a slacker right now.  Well I do have a good reason, but still, its no excuse.  I used to live in Luray, Va and every year they have a Heritage Festival.  My sister sets up with her crafts and this year, I am putting in my cards and gift items to try and sell.  For the last two weeks, I have been locked in my room with the juices a flowing.  I head over tomorrow to drop off all that I have made.  I wanted to make one last special card to take over and it worked out that this weeks sketch over at http://www.creative-sketches.com/ has a wonderful one that went with want I wanted to create.  As a design team member at creative-sketches, I thought my card does it great justice.  Head on over and check out our sketch this week and play with us!!  Here is the sketch for this week:
