New Catalog Premiere Stylin' Stampin' Squad June Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to Stylin' Stampin' Squads June Blog Hop!  This month we are super excited to be sharing projects and ideas made from products from the all new 2014 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  We hope that by the end of the hop, we have inspired you to go create and have fun!  Have that pen and paper ready, cause we know that you will want to add some new items to that "wish list"....yes....we know you have one (we all do)!!  This will be our last blog hop for Stylin' Stampin' Squad, but don't cry....we will continue a monthly blog hop, but it will be with our design team members over at out main blog, Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, so be sure to come visit us in July!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Darcy J. with DJ's Stampin' Place. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Just like everyone right now, its hard to really pin point a #1 favorite item from the new catalog.  I mean, every time I pick up the darn thing, I find something new and exciting.  I've already had to redo my "wish list" at least twice, but that's ok, the good thing about this new catalog, is that there is something for everyone and I have a whole year to get my goodies!  One of the first items that I did add to my shopping cart on June 2, was the Flower Patch Bundle.  This is a two step stamping set. The bundle comes with a photopolymer stamp set and the matching framelit set for easy cutting out.  With all the different layers in this set, the possibilities are endless as to the different flowers you can create.  Another thing I also love about this set, is that it comes with three sentiment stamps.

For my hop projects, I decided to create a card and decorate a box.  This set will be given to my Mom for her Birthday.  I plan to put some jewelry in the box.

I decided to use the color combo of night of navy for my base, which I embossed with the new large polka dot folder, the banner is using crumb cake and the flowers and leaves are stamped in crisp cantaloupe, pistachio pudding and night of navy.  For some fun bling and accents to my card, I tied a triple looped bow using the gold bakers twine, cut a piece of the new venetian crochet trim and a cut piece of gold sequin trim.  I colored two basic pearls in the darkest shade of daffodil delight blendabilities and added them to the center of each flower.
On the inside, yes, we can't forget the inside.  I stamped a matching flower from the outside and added some leaves around it.  Making sure to leave room for a nice hand written message.
A close up of all the outside goodies!
Now the box is one of our many different sized boxes we offer.  This one just happens to be the decorative window gift box.  It comes in a pack of 6, so you have plenty to decorate and give later as you need them or great to decorate for maybe birthday party favors.  The only flower stamp I used, was the night of navy center for the flower.  The rest I used only the framelits.  I cut several of each out in crisp cantaloupe, crumpled them up in my hands and inked the edges.  I did the same for the leaves.  I punched holes in the center to hold together with an antique brad.

I hope you have enjoyed both my projects, leave some "love" and head over to stop #3,Diana E. of Stampin' Fun with Diana , I just know you are gonna love what she created!

The Berry Best! - Stylin' Stampin' Squad May Blog Hop!

Good morning and welcome to Stylin' Stampin' Squads May Blog Hop!  Punches are great to punch out their coordinating image, but punches are also great when you can use them to create other fun things.  This month our design team members are having some fun with "punch art"!  Hop along and see what fun things we have created!!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop #2 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop -Darcy J. of DJ's Stampin' Place. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

So  I'll be honest to say I had so much trouble with this months blog hop.  I just couldn't for the life of me, put my finger on what I wanted to create.  I would get an idea, but this change my mind.  I only did this about 20 gazillion times......and this can give a person a really big headache too!!   I was about ready to bail out until I had one more idea come to mind.  I wanted to create another card in a box.  Only this time I had strawberries in mind........

I created my card in a box using chocolate chip (a color I don't use much for some reason).  I layered the panels with whisper white and a piece of checkered paper from the Gingham Garden DSP pack.

I used the large heart punch to create my strawberries in raspberry ripple and embossed using the dot folder.  The leaves in shades of gumball green and pear pizzazz come from the secret garden framelit set and the owl punch.  For the green on each strawberry, I used the petite petal punch.  This was also the punch for the daffodil delight stamped petite flowers attached to each strawberry with a candy dot in each center.

When folded up flat, this is what it looks like.  Ready to slide in a custom made envelope using my envelope punch board.

On the front flap and behind a couple other strawberries, I added some gold bakers twine.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ chocolate chip, whisper white, raspberry ripple, gumball green, pear pizzazz
Ink ~ daffodil delight
Stamp Set ~ Petite Petals
Punches ~ large heart, owl, petite petals
DSP ~ Gingham Garden
Misc. ~ brights candy dots, gold bakers twine, MDS to type my sentiment, dots embossing folder

I hope you have enjoyed my "punch art" project.  Don't forget to leave some "love", before heading over to the next blog hop stop #4 Jamie H. of Unique Ink .  I just know you are going to love what she created!

Set Sail with Stylin' Stampin' Squad's April Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for our April Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! This month our theme is all about "kids".  One of the things about having kids is planning a birthday party or maybe even a baby shower for a friend.  Our hop is focusing on everything related to kids.  From birthday/party cards, invites, decorations to even party favors.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop #4 Kathy P. of Katrina P's Creative Corner on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

With this months hop theme of "kids", I decided to do a baby shower collection.  One way to make a shower so easy to put together, is to create your own supplies for the party.  I used Stampin' Up!'s MDS software program to create all the items you will see here in my post.  Now the only thing left to do is....EAT those Yummy little cupcakes!!!

So my baby shower collection includes: an invitation, thank you cards, cute cupcake toppers and even more cute tags for the candy favors.

The invitation is 100% MDS. I used the High Tide DSP for the background along with the stamp set Hello Sailor and On the Go.

For the tags on the candy favors, I used the photopolymer stamp set, Setting Sail.  I also printed the stripped background paper from MDS and punched out the shape with the artisan punch and tiedit on with some pacific point stitched ribbon.  These cute little plastic bottles were a treasure find at Hobby Lobby.

With a party where you are going to received gifts, you need to have thank you cards to send out.  Again I went to work with MDS.  I printed a page of the shells DSP pattern and cut it out to layer on my piece of pacific point cardstock.  I layered the front with a label, stamped the center with the boat wheel and typed in the word "thanks".  I also stamped another layer to print out to attach to the backside for a person to write their thank you message.  I didn't want to print a whole sheet of paper for one thank you card.  I wanted to make these postcard style to maximize paper supplies, and lets face it, most people file 13 these things anyway after they get them in the mail, so no need to waste a lot of paper and ink.

These cute little cupcake toppers were so so easy to make.  I used the Setting Sail stamp set for the three images and layered with some cardstock circle shapes.  The background circle, again is a sheet of High Tide DSP printed from my printer.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, summer starfruit, calypso coral, pacific point
DSP ~ high tide (MDS)
Stamp Sets ~ on the go, hello sailor (MDS) and setting sail
Ink ~ pacific point, summer starfruit, calypso coral, basic black
Misc. ~ MDS software, circle punches, artisan punch

I sure do hope you have enjoyed my baby shower themed projects as much as I did creating them.  Don't forget to leave some "love", before heading over to the next blog hop stop #6 Bree R. of Craft-Somnia.  She has an awesome project waiting for you to check out!

Thank you so much for joining us for our March Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! Temperatures are on the rise and there is just one short week until the official first day of Spring! We are all so ready to put away our snowflakes and break out the flowers in our craft rooms! Thanks for joining me here at the Blog Hop today.  I am happy to be sharing a card using one my my favorite flower stamp sets.  I made it for my friend Breelin, she was feeling a little under the weather and I thought this might cheer her up!

I love this set is because its simple but pretty when colored.  One of the elements I enjoy making for a card is a banner, but like for most people, they can be tricky to make.  trying to get the two points even can well...be a pain in the you know where!?!  I am in "love" with the new banner framelit set.  It makes for a quick and perfect banner cut out.   I used it to cut out the white layer that I stamped with one of my favorite flower sets right now, Peaceful Petals  (which is colored with my blender pen/crisp cantaloupe ink) and the layer in champagne glitter paper.  I also added the same glitter paper as an accent with the sentiment.  I couldn't stop there, with the gold.  I cut a small piece of the new gold sequin trim and tied it on with a piece of the new crisp cantaloupe twine from the Sweet Sorbet accessory pack.  This is part of a special pack that you can earn for FREE when you place a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration, Jan. 28 thru March 31, 2014.

Along with the outside, I pulled off a few of the sequins and scattered them around and attached them with glue dots.  I also added two banners to decorate the inside, cut a piece of the crisp cantaloupe ruffled ribbon and Wa-La...my card is complete!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set ~  Peaceful Petals
Cardstock ~  whisper white, crisp cantaloupe, champagne glitter paper
Ink ~  smoky slate, black stazon
DSP ~  I Am Me
Misc.~  gold sequin trim, banner framelit set
Punches ~  scalloped oval, med. oval and decorative label

Each of the stops along our hop will give you a bundle of items that you can purchase that will total around $50 and give you a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Diana E. with Stampin' Fun with Diana. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

You won't want to miss these exclusive Sale-a-Bration items:

In thinking of what items I would put together for my bundle offer, I wanted to make sure it included a simple but versatile stamp set.  These are the four different cards that I created with the items in my bundle.  As you can see, even though I used the same stamp set, embossing folder and DSP pack, all four cards look totally different.  One of the things that helped was that I used a different color for each card.

Happy Watercolor Bundle -
Earn the Sweet Sorbet DSP pack for FREE
- Paper Doilies, $2.95, #129399
-  2013-2015 In-Color Market set, $14.95, #131260
-  2013-2015 In-Color Variety 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock pack, $6.95, #131200
-  Happy Watercolor Clear Stamp set, $21.95, #133191
-  Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, $7.95, #129984
Total Bundle $54.75

Close ups of the Pistachio Pudding and Summer Starfruit cards.  On each card, I made sure to use the matching ink color as the cardstock base for the inked background behind the flower.  This background stamp in the Happy Watercolor stamp set is a great way to still add color without having to color in the flowers with markers.

Crisp Cantaloupe and Pool Party.  Since I was using the in-color marker set, it made it easy to color right on each stamp and color the cardstock edge with the stamped flower image.  This just added a little extra POP to help it stand out on the card.

I hope you have enjoyed the cards created using my happy watercolor bundle.  Now hop on over to stop #3, Jennifer C. with Happy 2 Scrap 4 Life .  I know you can't wait to see her special bundle!!

Golden Sparkle Valentine with Stylin' Stampin' Squad January Blog Hop!

http://www.ssinkspiration.blogspot.com/

Thank you so much for joining us for our January Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Love is in the air and our talented group of design team members have a Whole Lotta Love Goin' On as we are excited to be sharing some NEW Occasions Catalog goodies and some Valentine's Day projects with you this month!

You should have just left stop number #1 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop – Anastasia R. with Stampin Blondie. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find  the full blog hop lineup below.

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog!  We are always excited to hear from our followers!

I am happy to share with you two valentines day projects!  I created both using the Watercolor Wonder washi tape from the new Spring Mini Catalog.  Washi tape is so fun and easy to use, its just crazy with all the things I've done with it.  It's become one of my must have items in my craft room.
You can't give a card without a little treat box filled with chocolates on Valentines Day!

The card was created using the heart framelit set.  I cut out a large heart in the middle and a small one on each side.  I used the washi tape to place behind each heart,  embossed the top layer using the new Arrow embossing folder and placed foam dots at each corner to raise it up.  I also sprayed the front of card using smooched spritz to add a little shine.  For a sparkle touch, I added some single gold sequences.
The cute little box is perfect for a handful of Hershey kisses or in my case, four chocolate truffles!  Yummy...Yummy!!

I hope you have enjoyed both my valentines day projects.  Head on over to stop #3 Dawn S. of Dawn's Creative Chalet and see what she has created!  As always, please don't forget to leave comments for each of us design team members!

December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Quick Holiday Gifts

Thank you so much for joining us for the December Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! This month our projects focus on quick and easy gift ideas for the holidays. As we enter the month of December, we find that the Christmas holidays are fast approaching. From decorating our homes, to holiday baking, we realize that shopping days are running low. Thats why we want to share quick and easy gift ideas that anyone can create in time for that special someone!

As you hop along, you will see that many of our design team members are giving away some great blog candy this month.   Leave a comment for each project and you will be entered in to win automatically!  Winners will be drawn Monday, December 16th, so don't forget to leave us those comments! (check out my special blog candy at the end of this post!)

You should have just left stop number 3 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Annie L. of Love Me Cards.  If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

With my son having four teachers this year, it makes it a little tricky to buy for all of them and not cost me an arm and a leg.  So my thought was this: what teacher does not need a little chocolate boost through out the day and what teacher does not need "Thank You" cards, so here is what I have come up with as a quick and easy gift collections using things that can be found around the house.

I am one that never throws away cute little plastic or cardboard containers that wrapped food items come in.  This lidded container used to hold a wrapped crisco butter stick (know which ones I'm talking about-they come in packs of three)....but now it has been turned into a cute candy box filled with chocolate truffles!
I used a two 12" strips of DSP and wrapped the sides.  I also created a simple belly band to slide on and off for added decoration and topped it with a stamped ornament.
Next, I used the envelope punch board and created a simple box to hold 3x3" note cards with envelopes.  Teachers are all the time needing "Thank You" cards!!

Last, is a card using the same matching DSP.  I will have my son write a special Christmas thank you message inside.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects for this months blog hop!  Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered into my drawing for some FREE Blog Candy!!!  The winner will be announced Monday, December 16th, so don't forget to include your email address with your comment.  Now its time to hop on over to Jamie H. of Unique Ink, with her wonderful holiday projects!
