Welcome Baby #FM219

Good Friday morning!  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I am over at The Friday Mashup where Tara has a fun new challenge for us this week!  We can't wait to see what you create and WOW us with!

Here's your Mashup Challenge this week:
  • Create a project using the colors "Pink, Grey & Sky".
  • Create a "Square shaped card".
  • or Mash it Up and created  a "Square shaped card using the above colors".

So seeing these soft color pallet made me think "baby".  One of the stamp sets I own but don't play around with much is the Something For Baby.  Its a fun stamp set with all the baby themed accessories.  One of my favorites is the onsie.  I stamped it in soft sky and added some twisted ribbon behind it and paired it with some retired pink washi tape and embossed my white later in the stars embossing folder and rubbed on some soft sky ink to help them stand out.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, smoky slate
Ink ~ smoky slate, soft sky
Stamp set ~ Something for Baby, And many more
Misc. ~ subtle and neutral candy dots, soft sky ribbon, misc. washi tape, star embossing folder

I hope you have enjoyed my challenge card this week.  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers created!!

Lucky You CYCI#61

Good morning!  Today is Sunday and a busy one it will be.  I got up early to go run early with some friends as we start tapering down our miles for the Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon next week.  I am so excited yet nervous too.  I have ran other halves but this one I am really trying to set a better PR for myself and with this race in mind, our challenge at Can You Case It? this week for St. Patrick's Day (shamrocks) came at a perfect time)  Come get inspired with our designers and play along with our Clean and Quick, St. Patrick's Day Edition challenge.

This really is a card that you can create in 10 min. or under.  I started with a base of old olive (my favorite green) and cut a layer that measures 5"x3-3/4" and just added some torn strips of washi tape in random places.  I cut our three white hears and created this cute clover and used my stamp n' write marker to add some stiches.  I popped on an old olive green button to the center and scattered some gold sequins around.

Welcome Baby #SSINKCS16

Good Monday morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Today I'm over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and its time for an all new card sketch challenge!  We do hope you will get INKspired by our designers to come join us!

Here is our fun sketch created by Breelin Renwick.  She is so talented with creating our sketches!

One of the parents, that I babysit for is expecting their second child in about a month and well I needed a baby card to welcome "him" here.  The "and many more" stamp set worked perfect for the sentiment banners I created.  I just love the "B" as the main focal point.  I tied on some baked brown sugar and gold bakers twine to help accent it.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ coastal cabana, hello honey, baked brown sugar
Ink ~ baked brown sugar
Stamp set ~ And Many More
DSP ~ Lullaby
Misc. ~ banner punch, basic bling, coastal cabana blendabilities, baked brown sugar twine, gold bakers twine

Don't forget to go checkout the other designers and their INKspiring takes on this sketch!

Pinwheel Fun with PCCCS#98

Good evening!  I know its kinda late and not normal for me to post this late in the day, but well, like we all sometimes do, I waited to the last minute to get my challenge card done for the fun sketch over at Paper Craft Crew!  But hey, better late than never, right?!

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #98

So here is the challenge sketch.....

And this is what I came up with!  Ever since I received my June My Paper Pumpkin Kit, I have had pinwheels on the brain.  So what better fun, than to make one using the Confetti Celebration DSP and make it the focal point of this bright and cheerful birthday card. Since my pinwheel is small and I didn't want a think stick on my card, I used an ordinary toothpick.  Not just for picking your teeth in this house!!!  BAHAHA!!!

On the inside, I created a few banners in different widths and lengths using the same DSP with some simple layers, leaving still plenty of room for a hand written message.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ basic gray, whisper white, crushed curry, pistachio pudding
Ink ~ strawberry slush
Stamp Set ~ And Many More
DSP ~ Confetti Celebration
Misc. ~ regal candy dots with petal brad, tiny triangles folder, strawberry slush thick bakers twine

I hope you have enjoyed my take on this sketch challenge.  Leave some "love", and make sure you stop by my blog tomorrow to see the cute summer themed project bundle I created for over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.....you might have a chance to WIN the set!!!

Whats Red, White and Blue all Over? PP199

Good morning! Its Friday, Friday, Friday!  Now that's just one word I never get tired of hearing!!  I have a pretty laid back weekend ahead, thank goodness.  My normal run early, get groceries, do little cleaning and play, play, play!!  Sunday is Father's Day, we I'll take a long run early, then get ready to take my husband out for breakfast (his choice), then we have to take my son over to Luray for the week.  He is staying with my parents to help take care of my sisters dogs while she is on vacation!

Todays card is for the color challenge over at The Paper Players.  I almost forgot that I wanted to play along, thank goodness they send out a reminder to play along.  So I finally got my hands on the Work of Art stamp set (it had been on back order for a short while), but not worries, I had plenty of other new toys to keep me busy with, like the new stars framelit set.  Which is what I used to create these awesome layered stars on my card.

I started out with a crumb cake card base and stamped it with the zig zag stamp from the Work of Art set in night of navy.  I then cut and layered with whisper white and real red.  I used the three smallest sizes of stars to cut out in all three colors.  I even sponged around each to help them pop.  The finishing touch is the celebrate on the white banner and the piece of silver bakers twine.  I added a basic rhinestone to the white and red star for some added bling!

On the inside, I cut out three stars and placed them in the corner, leaving plenty of room for that special hand written message.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ crumb cake, whisper white, real red, night of navy
Ink ~ night of navy, real red, crumb cake
Stamp sets ~ and many more, work of art
Misc. ~ Star framelit set, silver bakers twine, basic rhinestones, banner punch

All these supplies and more can be purchased HERE!  If you are still in need of a new catalog, please contact me and I will be glad to send you one!
