As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #6 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Darcy at Dj's Stampin Place . If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

My projects for the blog hop are for my sons.  Its Valentine's Day and yes even my boys enjoy receiving my creative projects and some sweets to go with it.  When I was at Leadership last month, Donna Griffith (I believe, if I remember correctly) demoed a cute little box that was made and created by Sam Donald.  Click HERE to go visit her blog and watch her video.  Now I took it a step further and sized down her vs. to a much smaller one, but you'll have to check back next week to see what I created it for!!!

This fun little sized pouch holds perfectly a roll of fruity Momento's. Which both of my boys (including me) LOVE!!!

Now head on over to visit with Melissa at Stamp Doc.  She is sure to knock your socks off!

Oodles of Love at FM196

Good morning its Friday, Friday, Friday!  Don't you just love saying that word?!  Any who, today I'm over at The Friday Mashup and Holly has come up with a lovely color palette of red, pink and white or to mash it up, add a theme of Love.  I hope you will get inspired and come join us!

So for my card, I decided to keep it nice and simple.  I started with a base of very vanilla and a single layer of the same.  I look a piece of vanilla cardstock and water colored it with sahara sand using my aqua painter.  I then stamped the hardwood stamp in sahara sand as well.  I tore the edged and sponged in blushing bride.  I added two stamped hearts from the Snuggles and Smooches stamp set on blushing bride and rose red cardstock.  I even added a snipped and folded piece of chevron ribbon tucked under the one heart.  I finished it off with a stamped "oodles of love" sentiment a couple candy dots.

Stamp Set Focus with SSINK

Today is stamp set focus over at SSINK and the designers are putting their focus on Snuggles and Smooches stamp set.  This is such a fun a cute stamp set and holds a big pack of punch for creating a simple card to an all out decked out card.

I did some heat embossing with my project card.  I first stamped with versa mark the smaller circle design and covered it in white powder and heated it up.  I did this three times.  I then took my ink pads in wisteria wonder, sahara sand and crisp cantaloupe with my aqua painters and did some fun water coloring.  The "love" is just stamped in crisp cantaloupe on a white banner layer.

Now its hard to see in the photo and I'm sorry, that I inked up my zig zag embossing folder with some vera mark ink and did some heat embossing again in just a small area for a subtle background.

Coffee Warms My Heart #CYCI54

Good morning, hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend so far!  I have. Spent yesterday running errands and stocking the house with groceries for my departure next Wednesday.  Where am I going, you ask?  Well, let me tell you, I am headed out to the air port all bright and early to fly myself away to Florida for Stampin' Up! Leadership training and to have fun, fun, fun with my friend Breelin.  We are going to have an awesome time!  Now back to today, today I am sharing my project for the Designers Choice Challenge at Can You Case It?  So put your thinking caps on, grab a sketch, color combo, its your choice.  Create that fun project of any kind and link it up to our challenge!

I was scanning thru Pinterest the other day and came across this lovely card created by:  Wanda Guess and just loved the theme (COFFEE) and the sketch.  I put my thinking cup on (that means, I fixed myself a cup of coffee!) and went to town to CAS(E) her card.  Here is her card.....
Paper Smooches challenge card by Wanda Guess

and here is my CAS(E)D version....

I do love my Stampin' Up! supplies but sometimes I do like to pull out some of my other toys and mix them up together!  One of my favorite contraband stamp sets is the Perk Up coffee themed stamp set by My Favorite Things.  It has a lot of different coffee related sentiments and it works perfect with any kind of coffee cup/mug stamp set or die cuts.  I replaced her circle shapes with hearts and turned my card to be horizontal.  I just love the added bling of the sequins along the sides.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, coastal cabana, sahara sand, crushed curry, calypso coral
Ink ~ soft suede, crisp cantaloupe
Stamp set ~ Perk Up
DSP ~ Best Year Ever (SAB paper pack you can earn for FREE with a $50 order)
Misc. ~ crushed curry bakers twine, in color sequins, heart from the circle card thinlit set

Woodsman Valentine #MOJO381 and #HSS203

Good morning, its Friday, Friday, Friday!  Oh what a beautiful day it is too!  One day closer to packing (well I have already done some!) and heading to Florida to attend Stampin' Up!'s Leadership training!  Yesterday I sat down to create a fun card for the sketch at Mojo Monday and combined it with the awesome color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Both worked great together for creating a masculine Valentine with the Wood You Be Mine stamp set.  I am so glad I got this cutie.  It is so fun to have a nice masculine stamp set to play around with.

Here are the two challenges, and here is what I created......

Using a piece of the black and white DSP from the stacked with love pack and coloring in the hearts with melon mambo was so fun.  It really makes the woodsman stand out nicely with his matching plaid shirt.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, melon mambo
Ink ~ basic black, black momento tuxedo, melon mambo
Markers/Blendabilities ~ smoky slate, early espresso, skin tones, soft suede
Stamp set ~ wood you be mine
DSP ~ stacked with love
Misc. ~  woodgrain embossing folder, bright candy dots, circle framelit set

Waste Not Want Not with SSINK

Good morning!  Today over at SSINKspiration our designers were put to the test to use things laying around our desk and create something with.  Well, I defiantly have things laying around I've been meaning to use I swear!  My dad always taught me to not waste things.  Rather it be paper or the food on my plate.  So this challenge for us came at the perfect time.

Here is my work space showing my scraps laying around, just waiting to be used.  YES even I have little piles laying around on my desk...a neat pile but a pile in the least LOL!!

And here is what I created out of my pile....

So I was able to create a treat bag as well as a card.  WOW, didn't realize I had that much in the pile!  I was playing around with embossing velum the other day for the treat bag and changed my mind but thru it in the "for later pile".  I also had this heart embossed card layer in calypso coral in that same pile.  The scrap strips with the stacked with love DSP was perfect to pull it all together.

I had a circle shape in the black with dots and cut the heart out for my card then used the left over piece to create a heart shaped shaker to attach to my treat bag below.  I had a short length of black bakers twine that worked perfectly for my hanging heart.

I had this tied up black chevron ribbon actually sitting on my desk for months and couldn't find anything that I wanted to use it for, but wouldn't dare throw it away( Big NO NO!!)  Glad I didn't cause I added a couple glue dots and added it to the front of treat bag.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ calypso coral, whisper white
 Ink ~ black, calypso coral
Stamp set ~ Snuggles & Smooches, Crazy About You
DSP ~ stacked with love
Misc. ~black chevron ribbon, coastal cabana twine, basic rhinestones, heart embossing folder, mini treat bag thinlit set, circle framelit set

Now go forth, look at all those scraps you have laying around and see how you can turn them into something beautiful!  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers have/had laying around on their desks!!

Stamping with Folders FM192

Good morning and thanks for stopping by.  Today I am honored and excited to announce that I was selected to be one of three new designers to join The Friday Mashup Challenge Blog!  Today is my first challenge to join in with the other talented team members!  Want to join in the fun?  Lisa has come up with a fun challenge for us to play along with!

This week's Mashup Challenge is:

  • Create a project with an "Embossing Folder Stamping Technique". Link Here
  • Create a project  with "Mix & Matched Shapes".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a "project using the technique with different shapes".

One of my favorite embossing folders is the tiny triangles, so I knew it was my pic to use for stamping.  I inked it up in real red and stamped it on whisper white cardstock.  The layer across the front is just a simple piece of vellum.  I cut out the letters to spell out "love you" in basic black cardstock using the little letters thinlits.  I mash it uped by creating some circles with crystal effects and colored them black using a sharpie.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ real red, gold foil paper, whisper white
Ink ~ real red
Misc. ~ tiny triangles folder, crystal effects, black sharpie marker, little letters thinlits

Thanks for stopping by and making my first day with The Friday Mashup special!  Leave some "love" and come join us with our fun challenge!

You're Sweet!!

Good morning, thanks for stopping by to visit.  Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration where love is in the air!  Today is also the release day for the all new Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions Catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  I have links to both new catalogs on my side bar for your convenience.  Today the designers are sharing projects created for Valentines Day.  So be sure to head on over to our main site and see what the others have created.

Since its getting so close to Valentines Day, I wanted to share another card I created using the "You Plus Me" stamp set.

The stamping is simple and I created the dots with crystal effects and colored them with my calypso coral blendabilities.  The fun of the card comes in when I took the banner heart thinlet from the Mini Treat Bag set and cut out strips from my whisper white layer.  I used two hearts to tie my Bermuda bay twine into a bow.  I did use stampin dimentionals to raise the white layer up.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ Bermuda bay, whisper white
Ink ~ calypso coral (blenders) Bermuda bay and calypso coral marker, and calypso coral stamp pad
Misc. ~ mini treat bag thinlet set, Bermuda bay bakers twine, crystal effects
Stamp set ~ You Plus Me

French Fry Style!!

http://www.ssinkspiration.blogspot.com/
Good morning bloggers and thanks for joining me here with Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  Today our post is all about "boxes"!  I am excited to share my fun shaped boxes I made for each of my two boys to hold their Valentine's Day treat.  Even though we don't go all out and make to big a deal about Valentine's Day, I still like to give the boys a small candy treat.  Cory and Andrew both love Hershey Kisses, so it is never hard to decide on what candy treat to get.

Even though my boxes are real red, I added some tempting turquoise and some grunge splatter to make them a little more boyish!

If you know me, I am not one to throw away just anything.  If its not me keeping the plastic containers that the Crisco butter sticks come in, its the French fry box that my fries came in from dinner last Friday!!  I have always wanted to make a cute candy treat box using this shape.  All I did was carefully take apart the container and use it as a template.  I traced around the edge and marked my score lines.  Easy Peasy!!  Next time, I want to make a little mini version!!

The "Be Mine", stamp from the A Round Array stamp set, worked perfectly for this special box.  I layered it with the Label Love stamp set and matching punch.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets:  A round array, gorgeous grunge, label love
Cardstock:  real red, black, whisper white and tempting turquoise
Ink:  real red
Punches:  7/8" scalloped circle, 1" circle and artisan label punch
Misc.:  real red 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon, McDonalds French Fry container for template

Peachy Keen Valentine with PP179 and FM143

Good morning bloggers!  Thanks for swinging by to check out my card creation for "The Paper Players" one layer valentine challenge and with "Friday Mash-Ups", color and theme challenge.  Wow, can't believe I was able to combined these two together to get this cute and simple card.

I used the cute color combo of coastal cabana, real red and crumb cake.  I also added hearts and arrows from the ever so awesome Peachy Keen stamp set.  Let me just say the the single stamped layer iwas really, really hard for me.  I am a layers girl with added bling and ribbon, but I made it with only one main layer and one little candy dot, haha!
I even stamped the inside to match the outside with no layers at all.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have enjoyed my card with these two challenges.  Don't forget to leave some "love".

Supplies Used:
stamp set:  Peachy Keen
cardstock:  very vanilla
Ink:  coastal cabana, real red and crumb cake
Misc.:  distresser tool
