Sprinkled with Contraband!!

Good morning, today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and we thought we'd share a special non-traditional post with you.  It's "Contraband" day.  As you may know, SSINK is a blog that is 100% Stampin' Up!, but well some of us designers do like to play with our toys too.  So today we wanted to share projects using some of those other toys.

One of my little sins, is My Favorite Things.  They do have some really cute stamp sets with matching dies.  One of my recent purchases was this cute little donuts and sprinkle stamp set and die set.  I also used one of the blueprint die sets they offer too.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ sahara sand, early espresso, very vanilla
Ink ~ early espresso
Stamp set ~ donuts and sprinkles
Misc. ~ donut die set, blue print die set

I hope you have enjoyed my contraband challenge card.  Leave some "love" and go see what the other designers created.

#HappyBirthday FM201

Good Friday morning, this morning I am off and headed to Va. Beach to run in the Shamrock Half Marathon on Sunday and participate in the Dolphin challenge, which includes a 8K on Saturday morning.  Wish me luck!  But before I leave I want to share my challenge card for our challenge at The Friday Mashup!  Amy has a great color challenge for us.

This Week's Mash Up! Challenge:
  • Create a project using Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate & Pacific Point.
  • Create a project with a "See-thru element (window, acetate, vellum).
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the colors above and a see thru element".

I recently purchase a new stamp set "friend request" and cell phone die cut set from a company that I like to buy from.  This was such a fun card to create.  Totally grungy and perfect for a teenager.  Just buy changing the colors, this could be for girl or boy!  I added a clear window sheet under the top layer of the phone and added some shaker elements.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, pacific point, rich razzleberry, smoky slate
Ink ~ basic black, pacific point, smoky slate, rich razzleberry
Stamp sets ~ gorgeous grunge, off the grid (SU!), friend request (MFT)
Misc. ~ sequins, cell phone die cut set, clear window sheet

I hope you have enjoyed my card for this weeks Friday Mashup challenge.  Click the link above to head on over to our main site for all details and the link up your creation.

I decided to pull out one of my new MFT stamp sets and play around with coloring with my Stampin' Up! Blendabilities. (please note, that SU! has turned off ordering of the Blendabilities at this time until they can get a couple details worked out better with this product.  Please check back often to see the status of them.  I'm looking forward to their return!)

Coffee Warms My Heart #CYCI54

Good morning, hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend so far!  I have. Spent yesterday running errands and stocking the house with groceries for my departure next Wednesday.  Where am I going, you ask?  Well, let me tell you, I am headed out to the air port all bright and early to fly myself away to Florida for Stampin' Up! Leadership training and to have fun, fun, fun with my friend Breelin.  We are going to have an awesome time!  Now back to today, today I am sharing my project for the Designers Choice Challenge at Can You Case It?  So put your thinking caps on, grab a sketch, color combo, its your choice.  Create that fun project of any kind and link it up to our challenge!

I was scanning thru Pinterest the other day and came across this lovely card created by:  Wanda Guess and just loved the theme (COFFEE) and the sketch.  I put my thinking cup on (that means, I fixed myself a cup of coffee!) and went to town to CAS(E) her card.  Here is her card.....

and here is my CAS(E)D version....

I do love my Stampin' Up! supplies but sometimes I do like to pull out some of my other toys and mix them up together!  One of my favorite contraband stamp sets is the Perk Up coffee themed stamp set by My Favorite Things.  It has a lot of different coffee related sentiments and it works perfect with any kind of coffee cup/mug stamp set or die cuts.  I replaced her circle shapes with hearts and turned my card to be horizontal.  I just love the added bling of the sequins along the sides.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white, coastal cabana, sahara sand, crushed curry, calypso coral
Ink ~ soft suede, crisp cantaloupe
Stamp set ~ Perk Up
DSP ~ Best Year Ever (SAB paper pack you can earn for FREE with a $50 order)
Misc. ~ crushed curry bakers twine, in color sequins, heart from the circle card thinlit set
