Merry Christmas from our family and SSINK!

Good morning and Merry Christmas to all my blog followers.  Today is Christmas and we all are busy spending time with our families.  Speaking of family, today over at SSINKspiration we wanted wish you all a Merry Christmas and share with you our own family Christmas cards.

I have had so many Christmas projects on my table that I didn't really want to design and create my own cards.  When I went to Stampin' Up!'s Convention last year, I took a class using the Watercolor Winter imply Created Card Kit.  It was awesome and I knew right then that this was what I was using for my cards this year.  Not only where they fun and easy to create, but it had all the supplies already precut and really ready to go.  Now there was one card that came in the kit that didn't really work for my style so I decided to change it up and create my own to replace it.  Can you guess which one it is?

These are all four card designs.  The kit came with supplies to create 5 cards of each design.

The fun part of this kit was getting to be back in Elementary School and getting to enjoy some water coloring fun again!

So yep, you guessed it....this is the card that I created and switched out!

Supplies Used
Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit
Misc. adhesives such as liquid tombo and glue dots and a pair of scissors

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas day with their families.  Thank you for letting me share my family Christmas cards with you on this very special day!

Merry Cookie Monday!!!

Good Monday!  The days are getting closer and closer to the BIG day!  Yes, I know its almost time for everyone to place their orders with the all new Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Occasions Catalog, but I'm talking about Christmas Day!  Lets just hope that Santa thinks I've been a good girl this year and brings me some new stamping toys!!

Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration its our Merry Monday post and we are sharing everything Merry!  I want to share the cute little paper gift bags I put together using the Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit from Stampin' Up!.

I live in a small neighborhood of just 11 houses and needed something quick and easy to put their cookies inside for a little Christmas treat.  I purchased a pack of #10 exactly Petite Café Gift bags and the accessory kit to create these fun bags.  The kit is perfect cause of course it comes with everything you need to complete the bags as shown in my picture.  You two different styled tags in 5 different colors (I only have 4 shown in the above picture), bakers twine, colored mini clothespins and other tags great for stamping a holiday sentiment on.  I was able to place 8 normal sized baked cookies inside but really it could hold another 2.

Supplies Used
Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit
and
Petite Café Gift Bags

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog today.  I hope you have enjoyed my paper treat bags.  Don't forget to leave some "love" and head on over for the other designers to INKspire you with their Merry creations!

Sparkle and Shine ~ CYCI#50 and PCCCS#123

Good morning!  Thanks for joining me here this fine Sunday morning!  Today I am over at Can You Case It? and its our "Holiday Edition".  This challenge will run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to join us in the holiday fun!

I also created this card based on the fun sketch challenge over at Paper Craft Crew Challenge blog.  The two worked perfectly together for the stamp set that I wanted to use.

Festival of Trees has by far, been one of the holiday stamp sets that I have used most.  Its so fun and festive and easy to use.  I used the solid triangle tree to stamp in the lost lagoon and pear pizzazz upside down.  I then stamped the dotted tree in smoky slate and added crushed curry dots and topped with dazzling details for some added texture.  I added a few scattered silver sequins to finish it off along with the button and banner sentiment.

A Simple Christmas Thank You

Good morning, its Friday, Friday, Friday and today I'm over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, where we are sharing holiday "Thank You" cards.  I've been playing with this color combination for the couple of weeks and its become quite a favorite that I decided to use it again.  I think the three colors create such fun for this snowflake thank you card.

This design can be created so quickly that you could easily whip out 4-6 and insert them into an envelope and give as a small gift to any teacher as they are always sending thank you cards.  This thank you card measures 3-1/2" x 5", with a layer of 3" x 4-1/2".  One thing that you will be seeing a lot of from me as well, is me using up some DSP for creating fun inserts for my plain old boring envelopes!  I am in love with this die set and don't understand why I haven't been using them more often!!

I hope you have enjoyed my quick and easy thank you card that it inkspires you to go create some yourself!

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white
Ink ~ Bermuda bay, blackberry bliss, crushed curry
Stamp set ~ endless wishes, lots of thanks
Misc. ~ basic rhinestones, envelope insert framelit set
DSP ~ motley monsters for the envelope insert

Happy Birthday MDS #SSINKLS16

Good Monday morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Spent mine wrapping my moms Christmas gifts, cleaning house, grocery shopping, finished up my own Christmas gift shopping and wrapping as well as enjoying a night out for dinner at Olive Garden and a drive thru light show!  But sadly this weekend has come and gone and its just another Monday, UGH!!  The exciting flip side is that its time for another awesome sketch challenge over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!  We hope you will get INKspired and play along with us this week!

Here is our sketch....

Never to Many Thanks - Clean and Quick #CYCI49

Good morning, I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend so far.  Its been busy, but I have.  Today I am over at Can You Case It?, and this week our challenge for you is to create and Clean and Quick card using a button or other embellishment with a max of 2 layers.  I hope you decide to play along, I can't wait to see what you create!

You can never have to many "Thank You" cards on hand so for the next few cards you will be seeing on my blog will be "thank you" cards.  I cut a 1"x5-1/2" piece of DSP from the flower pot collection to add a little pattern down the side of my whisper white layer.  I used the splatter spots from the gorgeous grunge stamp set in crushed curry and garden green ink.  Now the night of navy "thanks" you see is a new sneak peek item!  Oh YES, there is a new word thinlit set coming in the new Stampin' Up! Spring Occasions Catalog.  Now I did a little something extra with this card.....something I don't normally do...I cut out an envelope insert in matching DSP!  Crazy right?!  I can't stand the thought of someone throwing away the DSP, so its why I don't normally do it, but I'll have to be honest and say, I LOVE it!  It really makes it look lovely.

To finish off my card and keeping with the challenge, I pulled out a button and tied it off with some tangerine tango bakers twine.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ night of navy, whisper white
DSP ~ flower pot
Ink ~ garden green, crushed curry
Stamp set ~ lots of thanks
Misc. ~ tangerine tango bakers twine, brights buttons, regal candy dots, hello you thinlits (new sneak peak item!), envelope insert framelits

I hope you have enjoyed my challenge card.  Leave some "love" and go check out the other challenge cards from our other design team members.

Survivor-Blood-Vs-Water-San-Juan-Del-Sur.jpg

So first off let me start by saying, "I am a Survivor fan" and have been since it first aired on TV. Well this year, I joined in a Stampin Survivor group on Facebook.  Myself and 17 other ladies, were paired up with a cast member on this season of Blood vs. Water.  My paired team member was Alec.  Even though I held in for while, all good things must come to an end!  My Alec got voted out last week and was sent home.  Booooo!!!  So here is the fun part of this group:  when ever a person is voted out, that person is to send out a handmade card to the remaining players.  In my case, I get to enjoy 11 cards from previous voted out players.  The person left in till the end, will have received 17 cards.  So I want to share the card I designed and sent out to the remaining 6 players.

I wanted to use this stamp set in a non traditional way.  Instead of using dark green, I went with a light shade and used pear pizzazz, I also chose crisp cantaloupe for the berries instead of traditional red.  One of the fun things I did with the black/white typeset DSP, is I used my sponge and discolored it with crumb cake ink.  The layout and detail are pretty simple and I wanted the focal to be on the wreath and the gold shimmering "Joy"!

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ pear pizzazz, very vanilla
Ink ~ pear pizzazz, crisp cantaloupe, crumb cake
Stamp set ~ Wondrous Wreath
DSP ~ typeset, gold shimmer paper
Misc. ~ gold sequin trim, crisp cantaloupe twine, wreath framelit set

Welcome Baby #SSINKCS16

Good Monday morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Today I'm over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and its time for an all new card sketch challenge!  We do hope you will get INKspired by our designers to come join us!

Here is our fun sketch created by Breelin Renwick.  She is so talented with creating our sketches!

One of the parents, that I babysit for is expecting their second child in about a month and well I needed a baby card to welcome "him" here.  The "and many more" stamp set worked perfect for the sentiment banners I created.  I just love the "B" as the main focal point.  I tied on some baked brown sugar and gold bakers twine to help accent it.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ coastal cabana, hello honey, baked brown sugar
Ink ~ baked brown sugar
Stamp set ~ And Many More
DSP ~ Lullaby
Misc. ~ banner punch, basic bling, coastal cabana blendabilities, baked brown sugar twine, gold bakers twine

Bright & Beautiful Gift Tag

Thank you for stopping by to visit me here at Ink a Doodle Creations.  Today I am over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and we are sharing gift tags with you.  I mean what's a pretty package without a pretty gift tag to go with it?

I started out making this cute but knew it needed a nice tag to go with it.  I used the angled tag topper punch and cut a piece of cardstock in very vanilla to measure 2" x 4-1/2".  Then I cut another piece in early espresso to measure 2" x 2-1/4".  I angled the two together and attached with some adhesive.  I used the bright and beautiful star stamp set to stamp one in cherry cobbler and cut it as well as a smaller star in gold glitter paper with the matching star framelit set.  The "JOY" letters come from the extra chipboard letters I had left over from the watercolor winter simply created card kit.  Its the kit I used to make my family Christmas cards this year.  It came with a lot of extras, so I put them to good use.  I threaded a piece of cherry cobber seam binding ribbon thru the tag whole and tied the ends together with gold bakers twine.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ very vanilla, early espresso, gold glitter paper
Ink ~ cherry cobber, early espresso
Stamp sets ~ bright and beautiful
Misc. ~ gold bakers twine, cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon

So I love Christmas and all, matter of fact I'm in the middle of decorating now, but I will be honest to say, I needed to move on from so many recent Christmas/holiday cards.  I wanted to create a different style card, so I pulled out a set I haven't played with in a while.  Kinda Eclectic is one of my favorites from the full catalog.  There is just so much you can create with it.

I have a couple December birthdays coming up, so I decided to create and fun and stylish birthday card with it, mixed also with a little Works of Art.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ whisper white
Ink ~ lost lagoon, cherry cobbler and basic black
Stamp sets ~ work of art, kinda eclectic

Blinged out Sheriff - #CYCI47

Good morning!  Thanks for joining me here at Ink a Doodle Creations. Today I am over at Can You Case It? and we are ready to start this week off with a fresh new sketch challenge.  I hope everyone survived all the turkey eatin' and black Friday shopping.  Don't know about you, but boy, I need a nap!!  Shopping and getting all those good deals is tiring!  I hope you will come create and except our sketch challenge!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!
Well since I couldn't narrow it down and decide on which stamp set to use for this sketch, I went to my friend Breelin Renwick at Craft-somnia Momma and asked her to pick for me.  She selected for me the Yee-Haw stamp set.  The last time I used this set, I created a card geared for a boy.  This time I switched it around and am using this sketch for a girl and not just any girl, but a "Blinged out Sheriff" girl!!

I used my calypso coral blendabilities to color the sheriff's badge and layered with some twirled twine.  I also layered several ribbons and topped it with some gold sequin trim.  I added a very vintage button with some gold bakers twine to tie it all together and add that special "girl" touch.

Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ calypso coral, baked brown sugar and very vanilla
Ink ~ momento ink, early espresso, baked brown sugar, gold encore
Stamp set ~ Yee-Haw, hardwood
Misc. ~ very vintage buttons, gold sequin trim, natural twine, gold bakers twine, gold glimmer paper, mini star punch, large polka dot embossing folder

Truely Thankful for You with SSINK

Good morning!  Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration we are sharing projects created just for our followers!  We truly appreciate and are thankful for following us each day with your posts, each week with our fun challenges and for leaving us those kind comments that keep our design team members INKspired to keep creating!

.
I stepped away this time from the traditional Fall colors that most people thank of when its time to think of being Thankful cause it connect it with Thanksgiving and Fall colors or oranges, browns, reds and greens.  Nope this time, I stepped outside the box and went with a bit softer color choice.  Above was my color inkspiration.

Ok, not only did I step away from the fall thankful colors, I also stepped away from traditional fall thankful images of pumpkins, leaves and such and went with feathers.  Yep, I just love the Four Feathers stamp set.  I first stamped the feather down the side of my crumb cake layer in versa mark ink and heat embossed with gold powder.  I also stamped and cut out three feather on white cardstock and embossed with gold powder.  I then took my spongers and inked each feather with my colors of night of navy, crisp cantaloupe and blackberry bliss.

I love burlap but with this card I wanted a softer touch so I broke out my finger dauber and got inky.  I sponged on whisper white craft ink on top of my burlap ribbon.  It created the perfect touch next to the venetian crochet trim.  The perfect added touch was the crisp cantaloupe twine and the added gold sequins.

Supplies Used
 Cardstock ~ crumb cake
Ink ~ whisper white, versa mark
Stamp set ~ four feathers
Misc. ~ gold embossing powder, gold sequins, crisp cantaloupe twine, burlap ribbon, venetian crochet trim ribbon, glue dots, red line tape

I hope you have enjoyed my card creations.  Again I thank you so much for being a follower of me over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  Don't forget to leave some "love" and go see what the others have created for you!
