Good morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you wore your "green" today! My kids love to try in get me with no green on, but today, I have multiple Layers of green on! Today over at Stylin' Stampin' INkspiration, myself and the other design team members are sharing some fun St. Patrick's Day projects for you to get inkspired by!
I always want to say that I am happy and overly excited with the cards I make, but sometimes I feel stronger and more excited about some than others. Todays card is one of those cards that I am really excited about. This is actually the third try to believe it or not. I went from doing an iris folding card to this banner card. I don't know if its the burlap banners or the gold heat embossed buttons that makes me "love" and get excited!!
Can you guess what I used to make the three leaf clover??....yep you guessed it...I used the pancy flower punch and cut out one of the petals. Cute and resourceful! The garden green banners I embossed with the argyle folder, thanks to the suggest of my friend Breelin! Thanks Bree, it was perfect!
I couldn't just stop at a card, I needed to create a fun treat holder to go along with it! What's a card, without a special treat to go with it. I came across this cute little basket on pinterest, but after making it, it was way to small to put the skittles in it that I had. So I went to town and edited the measurements to be the size I wanted. I embossed to match, I inked in gold to match created more fun banners to match. Perfect pot of gold for a special friend!
Supplies used
Cardstock ~ basic black, baked brown sugar, garden green, very vanilla
DSP ~ gingham garden
Misc. ~ champagne glitter paper, very vintage buttons, med. oval punch
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have had fun with my projects for today. Don't forget to leave some "love" and head over to our main blog to see the other design team members wonderful projects!
