Joseph's Coat Embossing Technique w/ Secret Garden

Good morning and welcome to Stylin' Stampin' Inksspiration.  Today we are sharing projects with embossing.  Rather I am heat embossed or using an embossing folder, it is one of my favorite things to do on a card.  It can take a simple card to the next level just by adding a little embossing.

On my card, I chose to do a little of both.  First I used one of my favorite embossing folders (lattice folder) and embossed the pool party strip.  I think it helped to break up all the solid cardstock, since I wasn't using any DSP on this card.  Second, I did a heat embossing technique called "joseph's coat".  This technique has been around and can be searched out very easily on google, pinterest, splitcoast stampers, etc..  I have done this technique before but on a larger scale image. (see image at the end of this post), but this time I used it on a much smaller scale.  I wanted to highlight just one flower and make it center of attention!

I wanted to make it springy and cheerful, so I used colors of pool party, island indigo and calypso coral.  Added some bakers twine, a clear button and a few layers behind the embossed flower and I'm done.  I am so happy with the way my card turned out, I may just try this technique again very soon.

On the inside, I added a few stamped flowers using the "masking technique".

Supplies Used
Stamp Sets ~ Secret garden, Express yourself

Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to leave some "love" before heading over to see the other design team members projects!  I hope we have INKspired you to go emboss with us!!
