So for the colors the challenged called for calypso coral, so saffron and pear pizzazz. The themed challenge was to use stencils and to mash it up, use a retiring stamp set. Since I knew that I wanted to create a Father's Day card, I wanted to use the Gently Falling stamp set. This has been one of my very favorite sets. I have used it for so many projects and am very sad to see it go. I stamped the leaves in the three colors, and stamped the outline with early espresso. The paper doily has also been inked up in early espresso. For the stenciling part of the challenge, I used the polka dot stencil from the banner kit and sponged in so saffron. I love how I can recycle and reuse these stencils for other types of projects other than for the banners. I added a strip of burlap and topped it off with a wooden button, tied with gold bakers twine.
For the inside, I used the same stencil and sponged in so saffron again. I placed it on my cardstock so that the cut out circle was in the lower corner. This is then where I stamped my sentiment, leaving room for my added hand written message.
Supplies Used
Cardstock ~ very vanilla, early espresso, so saffron
Ink ~ early espresso, so saffron, pear pizzazz, calypso coral
Stamp sets ~ gently falling, lots of thanks, teeny tiny wishes
Misc. ~ polka dot stencil, wooden natural buttons, gold bakers twine, lacey trim, paper doilies, burlap ribbon
Thanks again for stopping by to take a peek at my projects. I hope you have enjoyed. Don't forget to leave some "love", and check back tomorrow to see what I've been up to in the craft room!

This is beautiful! I really think the use of the Early Espresso gives the card a wonderfully masculine feel and highlights the So Saffron stenciled background beautifully.
